There are no complaints about the service she receives.
The only comment I have is that the carers do not seem to stay very long and my friend gets a bit concerned that she does not always know who is coming in the house, and general information regarding her needs are not always made known.

Most of the lady's ask if I need anything before they go. All I would say is it would be nice to have regular times. I don't understand why the times vary so much when in the beginning we arranged what times to have?

They listen to the needs of the client/family and ensure this is met by their team of carers. We have cameras in the home so we can check on Mum regularly and so can see the care that is given too. They arrive in the allotted time frame, they carry out tasks as requested, you can contact them via phone/text message with additional instructions or changes to requirements and these are answered promptly and passed on to the carer attending.
The staff are all lovely, they chat with Mum and take great care of her just as we wanted. This has taken a great weight off us as a family knowing she is being looked after and we appreciate it.

It’s very comforting to know, that someone is going to see mum on days I cannot be there. The carers visit mum for 30 mins, arrive at the time arranged and it's generally the same few carers, so she gets used to certain faces. Mum says the carers are very pleasant and she enjoys having a chat in a morning. The days we need Kare Plus vary from week to week but Kare Plus are very flexible which is a great help. Would definitely recommend.

Kare Plus Leeds are providing a caring and efficient service. Their reliability and timekeeping have been good and the carers are well trained, friendly and conscientious. Although individual carers vary in their approach and they maintain good continuity by completing the log-book after each visit. The service manager also visits occasionally to ensure standards are maintained. Hygiene, health and safety standards have been very good.

My father requires end of life home care and we were apprehensive about finding suitable carers. We were unhappy with the choice presented to us by another provider and opted to employ private carers after speaking to the Leeds Kare manager who was helpful, knowledgeable, caring and readily met with us to discuss my father's needs. We have been absolutely delighted with the organisation of the care provided. The carers are a small team who treat my dad with respect, humour and kindness and are all very well trained and supervised. We definitely made the right choice and hope others can benefit from such a committed team in the future following their review by the CQC and approval for Kare Plus Leeds to provide another provider Continuing Care. Sometimes it's difficult for an older person to accept help. Kare Plus have been excellent with my mum, their staff are considerate and when needed, sympathetic, and despite her initial reservations, she now looks forward to their visits.
We strive to provide consistency with our care workers to enable the customers to get used to the support and build good relationships with their carers. By promoting independence the customer does not feel like their life is being taken over, and then often looks forward to the care worker visiting them. I am glad it is working in this way with Mum.
The carer is patient and friendly and shares information in an appropriate manner.
We always try to match the carer with the customer and keep consistency to enable a relationship to develop.

As a Registered Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a care company providing domiciliary care to service users in their homes, ensuring high-quality care is delivered in compliance with regulatory standards. I manage a team of care staff, supervise the implementation of care plans, and ensure service user safety and well-being. I am also tasked with maintaining accurate records, handling staffing issues, and ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, I act as a liaison between patients, families, and regulatory bodies, addressing concerns and continuously striving to improve the overall service delivery.
Having worked in the care industry for many years, I feel that Local Homecare is truly a care provider that strives for the highest quality. To lead a team of staff who are highly motivated, passionate individuals is a real pleasure.
I work continuously to ensure we adhere to the principles of providing a Safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led service.
I am responsible for assessing patient needs, creating personalised care plans, and coordinating healthcare services delivered at each home. I ensure that care plans are being followed, monitor patient progress, and communicate with healthcare providers and families. My role also includes maintaining records, ensuring compliance with standards, updating records ensuring they're accurate and advocating for the patient’s well-being. I am also responsible for planning and organising the roster of care staff to ensure that patient needs are met efficiently according to staff availability.
I also work with all stakeholders in conjunction with the manager to ensure the delivery of top quality care service to all service users. I perform audits of staff performance, adherence and monitor their well being.
I also conduct quality assurance exercise to ensure we are, on a daily basis meeting the required standard of care.
I work a long side with the Care coordinator and I am responsible for overseeing and coordinating healthcare services for patients, primarily in home or community-based settings. I ensure that patients receive the necessary care and support. I am also responsible for planning and organising the roster of care staff to ensure that patient needs are met efficiently.
In case of an emergency, I will be the first backup for coverage a long with the team in the office.
I map staffing needs and perform real time assessment of client and staff needs. I also conduct spot checks on new recruits to ensure they are performing optimally.
