Mum was very uncertain about having any strangers in her home, particularly anyone who would be managing her personal care. But right from the very first day, everything went well. The carers met Mum's needs and settled her anxieties perfectly and in a professional manner. There were never any problems. The carers were always friendly and cheerful which made everything much easier to manage. Based on our experience, I would certainly recommend Helping Hands Home Care.
I found it very good. They do what I ask, they are pleasantly friendly and helpful. But not always the same people it varies a lot. I'd like the same carers more often.
They always ring to let me know they are going to be late and what time they will be here. Now my mum is getting better, so she won't need help so much but you do all she asks and are friendly.
The carers are delightful and all do their best to help me live comfortably. The older ones are generally more thoughtful as they have had longer life experience and are nearer my age. My family sometimes happen to arrive while they are here and can pick up any queries and deal with them.
Numerous mistakes have been made by the office. I feel organization is lacking but we are happy with the carers.
I have nothing but praise for the carers who visit us. However, the administration has left something to be desired.
Mum has excellent care from all the carers that she has visiting her. Everyone makes Mum feel at ease and she looks forward to seeing them all. Can't thank all the staff at Helping Hands Home Care enough for all they do for my Mum. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Mum is cared for by such kind, caring, friendly and helpful carers
We're thrilled to hear how much your mum looks forward to seeing our carers. It's a pleasure to provide support to her and we're just glad that we can provide you with the peace of mind you need that she is being looked after. Please do let us know if there's anything else we can do.
With very best wishes.
They are kind, helpful, considerate and efficient and many carers have built up a rapport with Mum which helps to meet her individual needs. At 95 years old there is no way Mum could manage to live an independent life in her own home without their care.
Our experience with Helping Hands Home Care (Truro) has been fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend them. Every one of the carers we have met has been cheerful, professional, courteous and extremely helpful, often going above and beyond, when unexpected issues have arisen. The communication from the carers themselves and the office staff is brilliant. They have been extremely flexible and it has given us peace of mind knowing there are regular visits from a team of exceptional people that Mum has come to trust and rely on.
Our experience of using Helping Hands Home Care (Truro) has been excellent. The carers are always prompt, cheerful, considerate and sensitive to my partners needs. His needs are complex and they have risen to the challenge well, treating him with dignity and respect. We are all enjoying getting to know each other. My partner would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all the care he is getting.
I am a ninety year old widow, living alone. I had sustained serious injuries in a bad fall and as I was recovering, I needed help with personal care, showering and hair washing. The flexible package offered by Helping Hands Home Care (Truro) has been most appropriate and ideal for me, the management being so amenable and understanding of my needs. The professional standard of all the care staff too has been exemplary, as has been their cheerful, friendly and competent manner. I feel that I have benefited from their visits and welcome their company.
Helping Hands Home Care (Truro) have been invaluable to my very elderly mum and has taken a lot of pressure off me. I have been experiencing health issues and was finding it difficult to continue providing the level of care and support my mother was receiving from me before. If there is any problem with mum when they visit each day, someone will contact me and between us we can always sort it out. The carers are lovely and my mother enjoys their visits.
My contact with a member of staff in the office, by email or by phone, has always been very good and any queries have been efficiently and professionally dealt with.
Helping Hands have been helping my mum for the past year, with calls increasing over that time as necessary. All the staff, carers, and office staff have always been caring, helpful, and understanding during difficult times with Mum being admitted to hospital and falling more. They have been flexible and have accommodated us as much as possible and both Mum and I would have been lost without them. I would highly recommend them.
