The staff are excellent. Caring, considerate, and really brilliant with my Dad who is very sick with PSP. When there have been problems (and there haven't been many) the issues are dealt with swiftly, and with care and sensitivity.
From the management down to the individual carers I can't rate homecare more highly. They are superb in what is very difficult circumstances.
I have no hesitation in recommending Helping Hands. No job is too small or troublesome for them. After a bad experience with another company I came to Helping Hands looking for a more individual experience. I have not been disappointed so far. Mum has been looked after wonderfully. If you have doubts put them away. Helping Hands are truly a God send!
In their introduction Helping Hands Home Care (Shipley) felt professional and a plan was easily made. My care was 99% perfect and the 1% was sorted without fuss.
I have recommended your services to my peers.
Many thanks.
Although needing some support, my cousin was reticent to have strangers in her home “telling her what to do”. Keen to exercise, I organised a Helping Hands Home Care (Shipley) carer to take her for a little walk and make her lunch. This quickly became the highlight of the day. The carriers were increased slowly to four times and they became trusted friends who knew her well and she knew them. They acted professionally, efficiently and were very thoughtful and caring often going the extra mile and recommending things to ease my cousin's life and ways of doing them thank. Thank you to the carers at Helping Hands Home Care (Shipley) for brightening her very quiet and what could have been isolated life.
Your Shipley branch has been doing everything requested and all carers remain friendly and competent. About a week ago a young lady carer arrived when I was cross having failed to send an online order to Argos. She told me to try again while she watched, and halfway through the process noticed I had ticked the wrong box. When the process was repeated without the box ticked the order went through and a new watch was delivered the next day. Today a male carer has reorganised table lamps needed for use at night, as well as noticed that a recently acquired bunch of flowers in a vase sitting in bright sunlight on my windowsill needed the water to be topped up which he promptly did. Important though apparently insignificant details like those make me grateful to your intelligent team of carers.
We have been using Helping Hands Home Care now for nearly two years. First for my dad and now my mum. I can't recommend enough. The understanding and support given is just wonderful. And that is just for me! The respect and kindness that has been shown to both my parents is just wonderful and makes me feel instantly reassured when I'm working and I know mum is going to be checked on and cared for.
Well done Helping Hands keep up your excellent approach to helping us care for our loved ones in their own home.
We were very grateful for the excellent care given to my mum during the time she was looked after by the staff at the Shipley office. We were able to go on holiday in the knowledge that our mum was safe and well looked after. The staff went the extra mile by doing little things like going to her favourite shops to buy in her favourite meals. They also took her once a week to her hairdresser which helped to get her out of the house and continue to enjoy something she always looked forward to. Our mum really enjoyed the visits and loved talking to them. The staff kept in constant contact with us to reassure us everything was going well and that Mum was OK. Although we were fortunate to be able to visit Mum regularly, it was extremely reassuring to know that there was someone with her two or three times every day.
The carers are very friendly and helpful. My regular carer who comes every week has organised a jigsaw exchange which is a godsend to me.
I have really enjoyed exchanging jigsaws with other customers. I really enjoy my carer's visits.
Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review! It's fantastic to hear how much you enjoy your carer's visits and that you consider us to be so friendly and helpful. Your kind feedback is truly appreciated! With very best wishes.
I am genuinely very pleased with this agency and as I live over 100 miles away from dad it is reassuring to know that he is in such capable and caring hands.
Thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review! It is fantastic to hear how happy you are with our service and that you feel reassured that your dad is in such capable and caring hands. It is our pleasure to provide care for your dad and we couldn't be more grateful for your feedback.
Best wishes
My father really appreciates the long car trips to the food establishment where he used to live, as he thought that he would never be able to visit this restaurant again - due to the distance, therefore we would like to say thank you to the team for coordinating the care so these trips can happen.
