The ladies who work in the office always go above and beyond from the most simplest of things to the biggest things nothing is to much trouble again they offer their time kindness and compassion
Helping Hands have made a huge difference to my father in laws life but also to our families life and we are truly grateful for them.
Good morning,
Thank you so much for finding time to leave us such a lovely review. We are comforted knowing you feel the branch are sending kind, compassionate, and patient carers to support your father-in-law, always arriving with a smile and providing everything he needs. With the additional...
From the very beginning, we have found the service to be run extremely efficiently and professionally. It is very reassuring to see that all the staff arrive in uniform with the appropriate PPE, and every member of the team we have met has been warm, friendly and kind.
The transition of a new care company into the home was initially quite a shock for us and, if we are honest, a little frightening. However, what felt daunting at first has truly turned out to be a true blessing in disguise. The professionalism, compassion and reliability of Helping Hands has brought us enormous relief and comfort and I wish we had been under your care five years ago.
I must make a very special mention of Chloe. She is absolutely wonderful - a real star and a huge credit to your company. She has such a natural affinity with Mum and brings warmth and reassurance with her.
Good Afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it. We are truly delighted to hear how reassured and supported you and your mum have felt since our care began. Transitions can be daunting, so it is wonderful to know that what first felt overwhelming has...
I came to Kent for a week's holiday. I am disabled and my husband suffers from stress. The help I received in the morning was having a shower and getting dressed. All the carers were excellent at this and also helped me with other task. This was not only great for me but helped my husband enjoy his holiday too as he finds showering me very stressful.
Margaret, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it. We are pleased to hear the help you received whilst on holiday was excellent and the support not only helped you but your husband as well. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to the team at Folkestone Kindest regards Katie
My husband has Lewy Body Dementia, so he likes to have continuity. Mostly, he has the same regular carer who is excellent and has built up a good relationship with him. While she has been off following a car accident, the 3 replacement carers have also been really good in the way they interact with and care for him. They always discuss any concerns with his health and personal hygiene with me, and help in any way they can.
It is great to hear your husband mostly has the same regular carer, who he has built up a good relationship with.
We are also pleased to know whilst she has been off work the 3 replacement carers have been...
I have no fault with my carer, in fact, the help and support that she gives me is second to none. In fact, I would say excellent, as I have shared with my friends. No job is too small. A very helpful, friendly, and genuine person. She has undertaken every job I have asked.
I look forward to the carers coming, they are always friendly and very helpful, and it's nice to be able to have a chat with them if they have time at the end of their time with me.
I like most of the girls and get on well with them and the lady in the office. They are fantastic.
All staff are usually punctual, have a good rapport with the client and are very helpful, not afraid to get stuck in. Some do clock watch and rush away, but that's the general gist, as they are usually rushing to another client.
I also look forward to their visits, a little chat when they arrive and another before they leave is a boost for me and any questions I might have relating to day to day caring they are always happy to help me work through.
I am always singing their praises and have suggested the company to other family carers that I know.
On the admin team side, we appreciated the fast response when we first contacted the local
Folkstone office , who carried out the initial assessment, then setting up of my husband's
account and then commencement of the visits.
I am writing on behalf of my parents who are in their late eighties. When my father fractured his hip over Christmas 2024 we employed Helping Hands (Folkestone) to support my mother at home as my father was her main carer. We continued with visits for the next five months whilst my father was convalescing at home. We gradually reduced the support as my father recovered until it was no longer needed. From the initial meeting to the final visit Helping Hands were excellent. They were able to guide us as a family through what was new ground, and were always up front and clear about charges. My parents main carer was always kind, considerate and caring. She built up a really good relationship with them over time. Their personal approach was flexible and accommodating to changing needs. I cannot recommend them enough. We will certainly call Helping Hands again should my parents need support in the future.
Helping hands are the difference in my mum's little world. All the wonderful carers give mum all the love care and attention she needs and deserves every single visit, every single day. Every challenge we face, every new change and extra care is integrated into mum's visits immediately.
The communication is exceptional. I live without worry, knowing mum, who is now nearing the end of her life, will have had the best care any daughter could ever wish for for their mum. Helping hands were the same for my late father which is why they were immediately contacted when mum started to need help and support and then as mum has deteriorated, we now have an extensive and comprehensive care support package keeping her safe and looked after.. So thank you all, for being so wonderful, truly caring, kind, attentive and very much part of mum's life.
Without exception, all the Helping Hands have been professional, caring and reliable. My husband's final months were eased by the consistency of the care and friendliness of the carers. Timekeeping was excellent on the whole and the carers were also excellent to me, always a query as to how I was and given a shoulder to cry on. Without Helping Hands it would have been impossible to care for him at home. I am forever grateful.
Hello, I am almost 84 years of age and am suffering from osteoarthritis in the knees and feet and more recently a fall involving a left shoulder dislocation plus fracture in April 2022. As I prefer to go out to do my shopping etc it was recommended that I make use of care facilities such as Helping Hands Home Care (Folkestone) to cover a range of health matters. I was given two care slots during the week and when I asked for two more I was told care staff were not available so I ended up with two further visits from another organisation. Very many thanks to Helping Hands Home Care (Folkestone) for their support.
Helping Hands is what it says on the box. Unfailingly cheerful, capable young ladies, lift my spirits, do whatever is needed to leave me relaxed and confident. Official matters are dealt with in the same friendly, efficient manner. I am very happy to have found them.
