Fair to say that before we started with care for my dad we'd only heard less than complimentary stories about care being given across multiple companies. However because as a family we had experience of Evolving Care we were able to chose them. From then onwards we have been just incredibly impressed
at the quality of care, the empathy for my dad and generally just how good the care has been. We only have good things to say....
Reply from Jodi McGhin, Deputy Manager at Evolving Care - NUL, StaffordshireThank you for your kind words regarding the care your dad is recieving. We are glad to hear that things are working so well for your father & you as a family.

Carers are alright
Feels that some carers don't always communicate with me much
Don't always come at the time requested so I have to dress myself which is why I asked for help
This care is new to me and we have to adjust which can be hard

In the most part I am happy with the care but there are a few issues I have Robert needs to feel secure in bed at night to this effect his covers should be tucked under the mattress I have asked various carers to do this and he also likes a towel placed half inside his blankets do that he can hold it
despite this some are only just laying the covers loosely over him like this he does not sleep so I have to go and make his bed every night after the carers have called also some carers are not closing the outside door letting all the heat out some carers when told it's shower time for him physically pull their face as if they don't really want to do it and considering that the calls are supposed to be 30 minutes and 45 minutes for showers some carers are in and out within 10 minutes now I can't say which carers these are as I don't see a lot of them I just hear them arriving and going

Recently having two regular carers has improved the service offered. Previously in December and the months leading up to then we got too many carers who were not regulars and were unsure what to do.
Reply from Jodi McGhin, Deputy Manager at Evolving Care - NUL, StaffordshireWe are glad to hear that things have improved since you have received a regular care team.

This is a difficult review to write as my sister, Glenys has vascular alzheimers/mixed dementia and has no recollection of anyone going into the house as a carer. I was at her house on the first visit at lunchtime when the carer persuaded Glenys to eat, said she had already eaten. (She hadn't!)This
appears to be the problem daily when the carer arrives. I am aware that the carer writes notes daily as to this and will prompt her to eat again later during the visit. There is an alternative in the fridge for a sandwich rather than a cooked meal. However, very little of this food appears to be being used either.
I appreciate this is a very difficult situation and the carer can only do so much. The prompt to have lunchtime medication seems to be working well.
I cannot comment on the staff when Glenys cannot remember anyone going, even a short time after the visit. So cannot comment below. Guessing!!

I am the sister to the service user and I live in London so am not close by. However I have stayed with my sister whilst she has been receiving care and my sister talks regularly on the telephone about the care she is receiving. She is very happy with all the care she has received and says how well
she is being looked after. The Carers are kind and considerate and look after her very well. I am very happy and grateful that she is being looked after by such caring staff.

Evolving Care have been a godsend for my dad and my family. They have all been so kind and caring towards my dad while respecting the person that he is. They have helped to ease what was a very difficult time for our family, giving us back some time and space for each other. Thank you!

The carers were very good with mum. She looked forward to them coming in every morning. They were very professional and helped her with washing and dressing. They treated her with respect, always using her name when talking to her
