All of my carers are very professional and friendly. I have never felt embarrassed or awkward with any of the care provided and you get to know them all and get the craic with them. Great sense of humour and they always manage to cheer me up when I'm down

The care is very good. All carers are very polite and respectful. Some could interact better rather than talking together. Most carers tidy up after themselves but a few not so well. Overall, very pleased with the very nice and efficient carers.

Generally good, although some staff don't have very good English. Training and supervision could also be improved.

The carers are all excellent. Always punctual, always caring and good-humoured and very patient. We have had many caring companies over the years but Homecare Scotland is by far the best. Consistently helpful and caring and will always listen and endeavour to comply with any complaints, which it must
be said, are rare. Occasionally there will be carers who are too rough, this happens in any such company, but they will be instantly replaced if there is a complaint.

So far every helper has been most capable and understanding. They help me to shower and dress in the mornings. They are most understanding and considerate. There is also a helper comes in at lunch time, she is equally competent and helpful. All three of them help me to lead a normal life. Without them,
I would probably be confined to bed. Also keeping me from feeling sorry for myself.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Homecare Scotland is calculated as follows: ( (6 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 6 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Homecare Scotland is based on 1 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 = 3
