Hi all. These lovely people look after my dad. It was a stressful time for him needing carers but made so much easier by Cross Care. I cannot name people who are brilliant as I wouldn't want to leave anyone out! You know who you are! I will say that it is a breath of fresh air when the owners/directors
do a shift as a carer. It's inspiring to think that they are still interested in what's happening right there in my dad's home. The management is approachable and really listens to my worries. Thank you all so much here's hoping we can be working together for a good while yet.

The team provided excellent care and help to my nan. We initially started with evening visits but then moved to mornings as well. Nan was reluctant to have carers initially, but they overcame her concerns and she enjoyed their visits. If they had any concerns then they would inform the family. Having
access to the reports was helpful and reassuring for the family. I recommend Cross Care to anyone who is looking for people to look after their relative in their own home. Thank you to all the carers for your care and patience.

Initially, Mum was very reluctant to employ carers as she felt a failure and didn’t want the intrusion of other people coming in to help her. However, the way Cross Care approached her at the outset of care a few months ago, explaining how they work and what they could do for her, enabled her to agree
to help. Mum has found it makes a real difference to have someone help her get up, washed, dressed and provided breakfast from a friendly very caring team. She loves that they know her little ways as well as specific things she needs done daily. So much so; that the amount of support has increased from mornings to include a bedtime visit as well.
As her daughter, I can relax knowing Mum is getting excellent care and help from a lovely friendly team. If anything is wrong or different or of concern, I am immediately notified. This gives me immense peace of mind. I am now able to visit and have a game of scrabble or sit and chat, rather than only having time to provide all her care.

The care my mother receives from her carers from Cross Care is fantastic. She was reluctant to have carers initially, but now she looks forward to their visits and loves them. They are always so pleasant and helpful and let me know if there is anything that is concerning them through the Directors or
if they answer the phone when I call Mum. I recommend Cross Care to anyone who is looking for people to look after their relative in their own home. Thank you all so much.

Cross Care provided the very best care for Mum at her time of need. The care manager and team of carers were so kind and caring, very approachable and very helpful.
Just wish they had been around when we needed care for my dad. Out of all the care companies we've had experience with, and we've seen
the best and the worst in care agencies, Cross Care were the very best.

It was an absolute pleasure caring for your mum. She really was a lovely lady. I, myself enjoyed visiting her and hearing about her life growing up. I would often stay longer just to hear those…read more

We have been through a very difficult time with mum’s illness and the rehab team had successfully helped us make the move for mum to go from our house to her own home. From the very first point of contact with Cross Care, I felt reassured that this would continue. I spoke with the manager and she immediately
put me at ease, knowing that mum would be in safe hands. Any communication has been instantly replied to (even at late hours).
Mum says some lovely things about the carers and has built up relationships easily and quickly, which I feel is down to the caring nature of the team.
The team are generous of their time and truly live up to name, ‘Carer’. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked.
I feel that mum is in safe hands. It means a lot to me to know that she has her daily visits from genuine, caring, lovely people. Thank you.

Firstly I would like to thank all carers involved with my dad's care.
Before I met the care team my dad would always have lovely words to say about them. He enjoyed the chats at night time and the laughs they had. He always felt comfortable with them at all times. They were always there to support
my dad's partner.
During the last few weeks, I saw more of the care team and when as my dad was getting worse they would explain everything that was happening and would happen. As I did not live close by, I felt at ease knowing they were there. I would get phone calls to let me know how he was. On his final day, I was called to say he had passed and that they were all with him and how peaceful it was. I will always be thankful for the help and support that they gave.

I'm extremely happy with Cross Care.
I feel I'm leaving my mum in very good hands when I'm unable to be there myself. They're always punctual and always deliver the best care with lots of happy chatter. They always go the extra mile with a smile.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
