This was Mum's first experience of Carers coming in to her home. The ladies who came were wonderful, they talked to her, offered to do anything she needed, accompanied her for a walk round the garden. She was very satisfied with the whole process, from the manager who came for an initial booking visit, the flexibility of availability, to the Carers themselves. We will definitely be booking again.
Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it.
We are delighted to hear that your Mum's first experience of having carers visit her at home was such a positive one. It is lovely to know that the carers took the time to talk with her, offer...
From the beginning, they put my Mum and Dad's preferences first, were deeply caring and treated them like family. Having others care for you loved ones takes trust and is a transition. Helping Hands made us and her feel at ease, were sensitive and ultimately unwaveringly kind. They went above and beyond my expectations to provide the best care for my parents. For that, I am eternally thankful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it, especially at such a difficult time.
We are pleased to hear the team were deeply caring and your parents like family, putting their preferences first from the beginning.
It is also lovely to hear Helping Hands...
When you suddenly need care for a loved one it's a daunting dynamic. We were extremely lucky to find the team from Helping Hands. Quick to respond and extremely professional from the outset the care was tailored, and adapted, to mum's changing needs. Friendly competent staff who always make their client feel important. Going that extra mile for those who need their support. The team are exceptionally proactive calling to say "just to let you know we have sorted this or that today". More challenging situations were always presented with solutions we can implement for you rather than a problem for us to solve. An outstanding team whose support enabled us to plan and implement the next phase for mum confident that she was in good, watchful hands.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it.
We are thrilled to hear that at a daunting time Helping Hands were able to support your Mum quickly and professionally with tailored and flexible care, which was adapted when your Mums needs...
My mothers health and ability to cope independently suddenly changed overnight ..."Helping Hands " came to my rescue...listening to my concerns and putting a care plan into place....both carers who came to visit mum (J & P) could not have been more caring and thoughtful.....
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it.
We are pleased to hear Helping Hands were able to 'come to the rescue' and listened to your concerns and put a care plan into place for your Mum. It is also great to hear that both carers could not have been...
Dad felt completely confident and comfortable with his carers. He looked forward to their arrival each day knowing that his needs were dealt with so respectfully and kindly. He liked the daily catch up chat as well. He welcomed every carer but many of them became treasured friends.
Thank you to every one of his wonderful Helping Hands carers.
Generally pleased with service given. Most staff treat with dignity and care, not all.
Good morning Johnathon, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're glad to hear that you generally had a positive experience and that most of our staff have acted with dignity and care. We take all feedback seriously and I have passed your feedback onto the branch, who will work on ensuring that every staff member upholds these standards. Kindest regards.
We only have stockings replaced twice a week, but all the carers who come out are friendly and do a good job. The carers are normally on time and not only offer my mother in law good care in replacing the stockings but also give her some additional company and new people as I work at home so can't always spend lots of time with her in the day.
My daughter has left home and this has made caring for my husband a lot harder. The staff of Helping Hands have been amazing. The manager has reshuffled the rota several times to accommodate hospital appointments etc and is making sure that the daily visits are arranged to give us maximum support. If I have to change things at short notice it's never a problem for her. A cleaning schedule has been created to help me keep on top of the day to day jobs as well as caring for my husband and the carers do a lot of this. The girls are absolutely lovely and I feel that it's not just my husband who is being cared for but me too. My husband is making great progress and it's fantastic that the girls are so interested and involved. I can't thank them enough for all they do for us. They go way beyond what is expected of them and that's a great comfort to our daughter who can't be at home to help.
All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, caring and professional. They reacted quickly to ongoing changes in requirements and their procedures ensured that the staff visiting my parents knew exactly what they needed to do. They keep in touch with me so that I am aware of what is happening, and are able to arrange other health and care specialists to attend which is very helpful as I do not live in the vicinity and do not know the local systems or organisations.
The care my mother has received since changing to Helping Hands has been amazing. It has given me and her total peace of mind. The team are very responsive and proactive, have excellent standards of care and are very kind and gentle with my mother who is in end of life. The management are very approachable and reactive to ever changing needs. True Angels at a difficult time.
Mum is being helped to stay in her home by the fantastic team at Helping Hands Home Care. They give Mum exceptionally kind and compassionate care, even though things are often very challenging. They continually go the extra mile (and some) in so many ways. I would highly recommend Helping Hands Home Care to anyone who needs help with a loved one.
Have been gradually increasing the hours of care and have no hesitation in doing so.
I had no idea how hard it would be to deal with a terminal parent, without the Helping Hands team it would be impossible, they are incredible professionals and have been absolutely amazing. The support they give is not only to my dad but to us as well.
Helping Hands have been extremely professional and reliable. My dad is very pleased with the service provided to him over the last few months and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for care at home.
Sadly my father passed away this week but I know he has the best possible care during his end of life and showed excellent support to myself and family during this difficult time.
I would highly recommend this care team to anyone who should need their services in the future.
Well done team - May your hard work be recognised through clientele and work basis, Helping Hands is as it says on the tin.
They arrived with empathy, understanding of end of life care and sensitive to ours and my mum's needs very quickly. I was worried about having carers as you read some awful stories, following my experience, I would look no further than Helping Hands.
I also appreciated that after mum passed, they still took the time to check in on us and offer their sympathy. Which is so important as after someone passes away, everything just stops, and loss of the carers you have shared such traumatic times with, is an additional loss, another loss. I would fully recommend Helping Hands in this area.

I have been working in care since 2020, just as the pandemic hit. I feel very blessed to have moved into this industry, and I try to use the skills gained in my previous marketing and commercial roles to look after my customers and carers. As branch manager, I oversee daily operations, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care. Our team is highly trained and supported to deliver truly personalised support. I'm proud to work for Helping Hands, where customers are at the heart of everything. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, my spaniel Nala and my friends in both Oxfordshire and in my native Scotland.
