The team at Hungerford Helping Hands are simply the best. The manager and the group are attentive, timely, and always very pleasant.

If anyone is looking for assistance or help, I couldn't recommend helping hands enough. If I could give six stars I would.

All the helpers are kind, very pleasant,

and very helpful to all of my father's needs. If anyone is looking for assistance for their loved ones, reach out to helping hands. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I don't know what we would do without Helping Hands. My sister and I live an hour away from our Dad and they provide an incredible home care service for him. Allowing him to retain a great level of independence. We are forever grateful for their service.

Both my parents require help with personal care and with small tasks around the house. All of their carers are friendly, polite, caring and respectful. Have been using Helping Hands for over a year and there has never been cause for concern. My parents couldn't remain in their own home if they didn't
have such wonder help. A great organisation.

Helping Hands staff were helpful for general housekeeping duties which my father could no longer manage. Great to know someone was dropping in on him and helping to keep him independent in his own home for longer.

We have been looking for some additional weekend care for my mother. Other organisations weren't prepared to share the role with existing care providers, yet Helping Hands are. From the initial meeting with the Branch Care Manager and her team, we have been treated fantastically. My mother likes the
weekend carers who are kind and caring and we'd recommend this company to others looking for home care services

We are really pleased with the care provided by Helping Hands Home Care (Hungerford) to my elderly Mum. The carers do the tasks they've been asked to do perfectly well but more importantly they also engage with and chat to my mum. We are very grateful for the speed and efficiency with which care was
set up for my mum by the whole Helping Hands Team. Thank you!

To my best belief, the care provided matches the plan in place. Additional support has been provided to escort the client to a number of varying medical appointments.
In addition, the carers have carried out additional tasks within the home to support the client's care and living requirements.

Helping Hands have provided an invaluable service in helping with a home care package for my elderly disabled father in law. Management is friendly, helpful and is responsive and goes above and beyond in helping to sort out administrative issues (Well done). Attending care staff have formed a good relationship
with my father in law (the client) and his wife and carry out their agreed tasks with genuine care and a good attitude. My father and mother in law are very satisfied.

Helping Hands Home Care (Hungerford) were quickly able to help me out after a fall and breaking my hip. The care I needed was around the house, no personal care. The carers were friendly and efficient.
Through no fault of their own carers were sometimes late due to insufficient time being allocated
to get from one call to another. These carers work hard and this should be addressed. I would use Helping Hands Home Care again if the situation arose. Thank you.

We asked Helping Hands to help look after my mother after she had cataract surgery on both her eyes. This mainly involved helping to administer drops up to four times a day at her home address. All the carers were kind, polite and made a real effort to make a connection with Mum and this was much appreciated!

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Helping Hands Home Care (Hungerford) is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5

Job Title: Branch Care Manager

About me

I am responsible for the overall running of our Hungerford Branch. I work very closely with my team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to all of our customers and that the care assistants are supported to enable them to fulfil their roles.

I first joined care in 2012 when I moved back from living abroad and I thought I would try the care sector out. And here I still am!

I feel the service that we provide to our customers is of the highest quality, especially because we have our clinical team to provide specific training to our carers for the more complex health conditions that customers may have.

You will normally find me going out for coffee with friends or watching a good film.

Experience and expertise

I have worked as a registered manager for almost three years now for different companies.
I have many qualifications, including; NVQ level 5 in health and social care, Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS, Understanding of Power of Attorney, ReSPECT form training, Mental Health Resilience and Management qualifications.

I joined care in 2012 at the young age of 20 and started off my career by being a Live-in care assistant. I have completed most roles in the care sector from being a Live-in Care Assistant to, Community Care Assistant and I have also worked in a Nursing Home as a Care Assistant. I have also been a Senior Carer, Care Supervisor, and Registered Manager.

Why I chose Helping Hands

I have always known Helping Hands to be a good company to work for and when I was looking for a new role I stumbled across the Branch Manager Role for our Hungerford branch. I am looking to improve our current CQC rating which myself and my team are currently working hard to achieve, as well as grow the branch.
I enjoy working with my team and every day is different. You always learn something new!
