The service is end to end professional, compassionate and caring. They listen and aim to cater to the needs of the individual.
I would highly recommend this service and these wonderful staff members.
It is wonderful to hear how positively you feel about the service, from the initial arrangements and ongoing check-ins with Larni through to the care staff supporting your father to maintain his independence. We are...
Overall I do recommend Helping Hands Oldham.
1) The ideal would be for consistency in the individual providing the care. Obviously this is nigh on impossible but at least most staff do repeat visits so my mother could get to know them a little.
2) a) Some of the carers would have benefitted from more training with regard to the needs of elderly people i.e. not to put crockery items away on high shelves but instead to leave on a work top close at hand.
b) To have more comprehensive understanding of domestic equipment popular with older people i.e. a ewbank!
3) I understand that the volume of traffic is ever increasing creating a challenge for carers time keeping. The issue of the time a carer should or should not attend the premises has been addressed more than once. This may be singularly relevant to my mother who liked her tea at a particular time to reduce stress on her heart.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for recommending Helping Hands Oldham. We're pleased to hear that overall your experience was positive, and we truly appreciate your constructive comments. Consistency of carers and adapting to individual preferences are very...
Mum was initially against using home care as she was upset at losing her independence as she reached 90 but she is so happy with Helping Hands. Obviously like any company there is the occasion glitch in the system but the office are always responsive and proactive. Larni has been extremely helpful.
Mum loves all her carers who are genuinely caring , compassionate and friendly. They carry out all the jobs mum asks for and she loves chatting with them. They always alert us to any area of concern with mums health.
We feel confident using Helping Hands and would recommend them to anyone wanting care for their loved one.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it.
We are delighted to hear that after initially being against using home care, your Mum is happy with Helping Hands and she loves all the carers who are all compassionate, friendly and genuinely caring.
It is...
A very reliable service. The carers are very capable and allow the client to do what they're able to do. If there has been an issue the organisation has been accessible and communication has been good. I would recommend Helping Hands Home Care to anyone who is in need. The only criticism is the carers do seem to have to rush sometimes, I hope they are given enough time in between clients.
I have found the ladies very caring and are brilliant with my husband. It's lovely to see them and also to have them for some housework.
I had contracted the company to see if there was a possibility of booking a carer to sit in once a month while I went to church. Over the weekend, I had a crisis with my partner, who developed sepsis following a chest infection. I phoned the care coordinator, who offered to come out at 9 pm and brought a carer with her. A carer was then provided for the next few days. Thank you for your excellent service. You should be proud of your company and its carers.
Best wishes.
Mum has her companion call once a week. She looks forward to it and gives a glowing report when I speak to her after the visit. Anything they do together, whether that's pop to the shops, a bit of gardening or just sit and chat, it's always Mum's choice. When we signed up with Helping Hands Home Care (Oldham), that was exactly what we were hoping for.
Thank you so much for leaving such a brilliant review for us! I'm delighted to hear how pleased you are with our service and that your mum thoroughly enjoys spending time with her companion. Always happy to help!
Best wishes.
We went to an afternoon concert at the Halle St Peters in Manchester after having a Jubilee Lunch with other clients. It was a great afternoon. A member of Staff came and picked up my Dad and myself. Every member of staff I have met have been very nice.
Best wishes
I couldn’t praise this company more. They have been a godsend to my relative. Helpful kind organised great communication and professional. Was our luck to call on them first.Thank you Helping Hands. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile.
Best wishes.
Both my very elderly Mum and myself have been grateful to the staff at "Helping Hands" since making the first phone call in August 2021. I felt relief that help was available and it was delivered in a compassionate and sympathetic manner. Like many in her generation, my 95-year-old Mum is very independently minded but it is essential that she has extra help and outside contact. She is frail but possesses a huge amount of determination to simply "keep going". "Helping Hands" staff enable her to do just this, with their regular and reliable visits.
Best wishes.
After making the initial enquiry things moved quickly and efficiently so much so that our service began the following week. We were effectively listened to and all our requirements were met. The carer is friendly and respectful, she listens effectively and does the job in an honest and open fashion, it helps us that she is flexible and understanding. I think she must have the patience of a saint! The carer has never been late and has accommodated our needs well, we have not been with Helping Hands for very long but if they maintain this standard of care we will be more than happy. Thank you for the empathy you have shown to a sometimes confused old lady who is trying to maintain as much independence as possible. We feel valued.
Best wishes.
Our regular caregivers are just that - regular, so my husband is able to develop a relationship with them, to recognise that he knows them and they know him, and so build trust and confidence. The staff are friendly, smiley (important), always neat and tidy, and have great rapport with my husband, speaking with him in an age-appropriate way.
They are reliable, dependable and punctual - and have the capacity to be flexible when needed. It is easy to raise any issues or update the care plan, and communications are professional and friendly.
Honestly, I don't know how I managed without them.
Best wishes.
I am so happy with the care my mum receives from Helping Hands. The care is absolutely brilliant, my mother is so happy with the carers that visit. It also gives me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much for this fantastic review and recommendation! I'm thrilled to hear how our carers have given you peace of mind and that your mother is so happy with our support - we're always here to help.
Best wishes
Typical of her generation, she was fiercely independent and had never previously received care assistance of any sort from outside the family.
The process of arranging the care visits was straightforward with great flexibility on offer.
The visiting carers immediately put my mother at ease and she quickly learned to trust and highly value them, looking forward to their visits.
The visits were always reliable and punctual, with any potential issues regarding my mother's care and wellbeing being promptly reported to me via the knowledgeable branch manager.
One of the visiting carers discovered my mother in a serious condition following a further overnight fall and following hospitalisation she has now accepted permanent residential care. However, I am eternally grateful for the prompt, calm and professional care provided and I highly recommend Helping Hands
Thank you ever so much for this wonderful review! It is our absolute pleasure to provide care and support for your mother, and I'm delighted to hear how our carers immediately put your mother at ease and were always reliable and punctual. I'll pass on your kind feedback to the team - always happy to help.
Best wishes

I have been in the home care industry for approximately six years. I started with Helping Hands almost four years ago, and I‘m proud to have been able to work my way up to BCM within the company, as I share the same values as the company.
My role allows me to provide quality, person-centred care to our customers.
Fun fact about myself: when I‘m not at work, I am often at the farm with the horses.
