Overall Experience

We are using the live in care service provided by Southvale for my mother who has quite advanced dementia. Communication with the Manager and the team has been superb, no request or question has been too much and the service from our carer exemplary. This company are highly professional and reliable and we feel in very safe hands. Although we are relatively new clients I would highly recommend this agency for their expertise and person centred approach.

Overall Experience
The SouthVale Care service was excellent in their care and support to my mum prior to her death recently. Her personal carers; in particular Pauline and Esther were patient, caring and professional.
The office team were also excellent, and very responsive/flexible when we needed to adjust the care package and change care hours.

Overall I would highly recommend this service.

Overall Experience

Southvale started caring for my mother at her home in June 2023 and the standard of care was so exceptionally high that the nurses were able to keep her comfortable and content until she sadly died a full 18 months later. She had suffered a major stroke and was hoist-dependent, cognitively impaired, had skin viability issues and was dependent on feeding via a PEG tube. The manager of Southvale was extremely supportive of us as an entire family, as were all the wonderful nurses who cared for my mother. The manager managed to ensure continuity of care by using a relatively small pool of nurses, every single one of whom was kind, considerate, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to see. In fact, my mother developed a close bond with them, something that made her last months more pleasurable. Many of the family have medical and nursing backgrounds and we were all immensely impressed with every single aspect of Southvale's service; and of course extremely grateful.

Overall Experience

Mum has had a live-in carer over the last year and we are extremely happy with the care provided. Mum is safe and the carers are proactive in respect of her care requirements. We find the carers are always kind and professional and it's a pleasure to have them living with Mum in her home. It is a huge relief to know Mum is being looked after so well and she is very happy, which is one of the most important things for us. Regular reviews are held to ensure Mum's care is meeting her needs, which we find very reassuring. Supervisors, managers and office staff are as equally professional and any queries are dealt with pleasantly and quickly. We would not hesitate in recommending Southvale Care to care for your loved one.

Overall Experience
Extremely happy with the service and care provided by Southvale Care for my father. We both agree we are lucky to be with Southvale.
There will always be the odd issue but the office staff are always polite and approachable and any issue is sorted quickly.
Dad loves the carers who visit him and they make him feel safe and looked after.

I would be happy to recommend Southvale to anyone looking for a care team for a relative.

Overall Experience

Mum received exemplary care from all of her carers for about 18 months. Every carer brought care, love, dignity and professionalism into the house. Not only was Mum supported but I felt that I was really supported emotionally too by all of the carers and by the office-based staff. I cannot nor would I single out any carer more than another as they were all absolutely amazing, Mum got on extremely well with them all. Sending you all at Southvale Care my love and thanks.

My friend has always remarked how wonderful the carers are, and the few times I have met them, I can totally agree. They are always smiling, and their visits cheer her up. Overall Experience

The carers come four times a day every four hours for my dad, because my dad had a stroke in September and has been home since November. Ever since the carers are coming in my dad is comfortable with the team as they are very polite and caring. We as family are very comfortable with the team. I will certainly give 10/10 to all the team because they are a phone call away if anything is needed etc. As a daughter I don't wish this on anyone to happen like it happened to Dad...stroke. However, this team is very good and I certainly recommend them if needed to.

My carers are very professional and do a very good job. They are well-trained and are able to adapt to my needs. They have to hoist me every day several times. I like the fact that I have a small group of carers who attend to me throughout the week.

Overall Experience

My mother, who suffers from vascular dementia, has been looked after by Southvale for just over one year. Previous to that we had several care companies trying to meet her needs. Southvale have proved to be the best one to meet her needs as effectively as they can, with patience, care and kindness. No company will be 100% perfect, even though we want that for people that we love, it is truly an impossible demand to make. The caring profession is a unique one, as you are placing the care of ones you love, literally in their hands. There must be good communication, which Southvale certainly has, also caring, well-trained staff that listen and also advise. I would not hesitate to recommend this company, and have done to people I know with parents in a similar situation.

I cannot express how wonderful Southvale are, their caring, professional staff are excellent, my mum receives the best care with friendly conscientious care. They make my mum so comfortable and are always arriving with a smile and leave my mum with a smile. The manager is always at the end of a phone when I need anything, I would highly recommend them.

Overall Experience

I enjoyed a lovely week away knowing my husband was in good hands with the carer. Booking the respite was easy, husband was very happy with his care, his dignity was respected at all times, she also took good care of our dog. I have also booked two nights in February 2024 and April for a week.

I have achieved a better understanding of medicine management by working with health professionals to administer and support any medical needs.

I have also learned daily living and independent skills, budgeting and keeping active by helping people to get organised, plan their day, clean their homes, plan their meals, and carry out shopping tasks for them. It's not always an easy job as there will undoubtedly be days where you'll need to be emotionally strong and resilient.
