Our experience with Helping Hands was a roller coaster which ultimately proved extremely poor and unacceptable. Senior management showed a lack of integrity, professionalism and effective control of the service. Concerns were not handled transparently or responsibly and accountability was noticeably absent. The service itself was clearly overstretched and poorly managed. Carers appeared under supported and in some cases not adequately qualified for the level of care required. This is a failure of management not individual carers but it had a direct and negative impact on the quality and consistency of care. There was a significant gap between what was promised and what was delivered. Due to the ongoing issues and lack of confidence in leadership we had no choice but to change providers. We would not recommend Helping Hands based on our experience.

She has Parkinsons and is showing signs of Dementia so her needs are quite specific and her medication is extremely time critical.
All of the girls have been amazing with my Mam, it's a comfoft knowing they are taking care of her.
Our Care Co-ordinator, Sam has been just as lovely with my Mam and very patient and understanding regarding her care needs to tweak her care plan to be just right, even down to placing specific carers with my Mam.
I would highly recommend this care company to anyone who is looking to place their family member or friend with people who really do "care".

My wife and I have had various care companies in the past with very mixed results, the companies always eventually letting us down. Helping Hands have been truly a breath of fresh air. Our trust in companies has been completely destroyed in the past but I can honestly say I now have 100% trust regained, no mean feat and and absolute credit to The manager and the team she has put in. They are on a completely different level to other companies, through from management to care. My son is a very happy boy.
My 101-year-old mother has a lunchtime visit, Monday to Friday, to serve lunch and check she's ok. All carers are friendly, professional and willing to do any extra job that's needed. My mother looks forward to the daily visit as it gives her another face to see during the day. Helping Hands has been a real pleasure to have coming to see her.
