Having staff able to take my Mum to and from appointments has been a huge help as we don't have to delay or organise everything around my work schedule.
My Mum was reluctant at first but the staff are amazing with her and encouraging her to go for walks with them etc.
I cannot thank them enough for all that they are doing to support my Mum and me.
Good morning,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really do appreciate it. We are delighted to read that our support has provided you with such peace of mind and that the team has been able to help with the practical day-to-day checks, medication support, meals, walks and...
The carers have been so kind and attentive. Mum can't hear, so they are all adept at speaking into their phones so the words are printed on the screen for her to read. They cook her 'proper' meals from real ingredients, and suggest meals when she can't decide. They are adept at working the washer and dryer, and everywhere is spotless when they have left. They are good timekeepers, and will stay for a chat if there's time for that too.
Everyone who takes care of mum is wonderful. I cannot rate them highly enough from the manager and her team in the office through to the carers who come and see mum. Whenever I need anything it is accommodated. The carers are warm, friendly and caring and always do a brilliant job. I would highly recommend Helping Hands in Doncaster. Well done all and thank you
Helping Hands Doncaster have been outstanding in caring for my brother, who lives two hours away from me. Their communication is excellent-responsive by phone and email-and they really understand my concerns. The carers are kind, patient, and professional. I've spoken with three members of staff who have all been fantastic with my brother and great at keeping me informed. I also really value their online portal, which lets me check visit reports, upcoming bookings, and updates. My main contact, is brilliant-empathetic, understanding, and always helpful. Staff in the office is also very efficient and kind. Helping Hands have given me real peace of mind, and I'm so grateful for the care and support they provide.
From Helping with medication delivery to washing pots doing laundry and making meals or just providing a friendly chat. These ladies are fantastic.
All the careers looking after my mum are really kind and have called me if there is something that they want to make me aware of. Giving me the confidence that my mum has had her medication is a weight off my mind. Thank you!
The back office team are extremely responsive and always available to change times, fill in for appointments etc and this takes the pressure off myself particularly.
Helping Hands have provided a consistently high quality of service. All the carers have made sure mum has what she needs. If I ring with any extra requests the office staff have always done their utmost to help. Mum was really hesitant to get the extra help she needs but is now comfortable with the agreed level of service and enjoys some new company each week.
I would highly recommend Helping Hands. All carers are lovely, empathetic, friendly, professional, caring, reliable, patient and thorough. It was a difficult change to my parents lives to accept care but they are always happy with the care they receive and always comment positively about their carers. We can not thank all staff enough
I usually go away in October each year for a couple of weeks and my Sister stays to look after our mother, but this year my Sister advised she was unable to do that.
As a consequence I thought I would give Helping Hands a try at my mothers personal care and if successful, have them cover my absence in October.
Despite my reservations (dread) about the process, the initial consultation/ needs assessment was pretty impressive. The first 1 hour visit was even more impressive. I had booked an hour thinking that since my mother can be, lets say, difficult but the whole process took less than 30 minutes. The carer was outstanding. So I changed the appointment to twice a week for 30 minutes. I am now working on the logistics for my October escape and confident that Helping Hands are more than capable of covering my absence.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Helping Hands. We understand how deeply personal and sometimes daunting it can be to invite someone new into your home to provide care for a loved one, especially a parent. We're truly delighted to hear that our team was able to put...
Helping hands have come in and transformed the care provision for my mum. The carers are so kind and professional. It feels like a partnership with them to look after my mum who has dementia. They are also very persuasive with my mum and make tablet, meals and trips out so much easier. The office is super responsive and I love the full transparency on all the tasks and notes online. I am so grateful to the Helping Hands Doncaster team.
The service for my mother has been mostly excellent. Some teething troubles as the start with instructions not being followed by the visitors but all quickly sorted. The branch are very helpful in accommodating any changes required. Online availability of visit notes is useful and reassuring.

I began working in home care at 21, inspired by the amazing care my grandparents received. Over the years, I‘ve advanced through the ranks, earning a Level 5 in social care. At Helping Hands, I ensure expert, personalised care for clients. Proud of my Doncaster team, we go above and beyond. I live in North Yorkshire with my partner and daughters, balancing life as a mum, Branch Manager, and weekend horse rider.
