The manager is very approachable and has popped by to assist with various issues and I have been informed of changes and issues consistently.
We have had to pause the care package whilst mum has been in respite care, and again this was no problem and communication has been great. The staff have been very professional and mum's needs have been met with understanding and dignity. Thank you so much Helping Hands!
When my mum came home for extended hospital and supported care home period last August 2024, I immediately contacted helping hands again, as I felt confident that mum would be in safe hands.
Helping Hands (four members of staff especially but the whole care team) are exceptional.
They arranged doctors appointments if mum was unwell, collected prescriptions, went above and beyond in every way, and were always there for the full duration of the paid care visit (30 mins usually), whereas the other company were in and out in 10 mins flat.
HH would also help with shopping and other emergency asks. Mum passed away in May 2025
Overall an excellent company
Rota is sent each week so we know who will be coming and when. Really pleased with the care and service.
My father has had care from this company for nearly a year. He has absolutely taken to his carers and they have been great with him. The company have frequently responded to changes in care needs, in amount of care required and changes to rotas that I know can be challenging. The carers have communicated any issues they have found so that we can respond, and the managers have been fantastic with their access of communication channels and in pulling out all the stops to the rise of various challenges along the way. Communication is so important and this branch was far superior than another who looked after another family member. I and my family (including) Dad appreciate their help and Dad has really been enjoying the company he gets when they are there.
The carers are all very friendly and all show great commitment to their roles.
Behind the scenes, the management team have done a very professional job when responding to my father's changing needs at short notice and have been great to deal with.
This has been the first time I have been involved in organising a care package for a family member. It's been a difficult situation made very easy by the team. I can highly recommend them.
The lovely staff are very patient with my mum who has dementia and is not always cooperative. They are also great with my brother who is unable to communicate and has limited capacity to understand language.
Thank you again! My advice to families would be don't struggle alone, reach out and get help.
I needed care for my elderly mother, initially to give me peace of mind that she is ok when I'm not there. Unfortunately, she has deteriorated a little over time and needs assistance more and more. The care team at Helping Hands have been great, nothing is too much trouble and they are fully able to adapt the care provided to suit her needs. I cannot thank you enough for all of the help and support given to both me and my mum.
This is such a lovely review, thank you so much! It's our absolute pleasure to provide support for your mother and I'm pleased to hear that we've been able to help you both out. Your kind feedback truly means the world to us!
Best wishes.
Helping Hands are a very reliable service to deal with. They help to look after my elderly dad, who is living by himself now. All of the staff are very professional as well as being very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend Helping Hands for anyone needing some care, either for themselves or a family member or friend.
My adult son has received excellent care from the team at Helping Hands. Due to his mental health, it has been difficult in the past to arrange care, but the manager and her team have worked hard to accommodate his needs. He has now settled into a good routine with the care provided. He lives independently and it was important to have the same person at each visit. This did take a couple of visits, but Helping Hands persevered with his constant requests and now he is really settled. All the staff are pleasant and easy to talk to. I have always felt that they hold my son's welfare as a priority and are flexible when needed. A great team.
I started using Helping Hands Home Care in September 2022 to help the family provide ongoing care and support for my elderly father who wishes to remain living at home for as long as possible. To date the care visits he has received have been first-rate. The carers always approach their work in a very positive, kind and respectful manner with a smile on their face. They are also happy to work with you when you need to reschedule visits due to changing circumstances.
Best wishes.
I needed reliable care for my terminally ill mother over the last few months. She has recently passed away. Throughout, they treated my mother in a kind, respectful, and caring manner. They were able to any last-minute changes in plans and also supported the family throughout. Highly professional yet caring. They were absolutely wonderful, and in my experience, would recommend them to anyone.
Best wishes.
Nothing is too much trouble, and the client's wishes are always met with a smile and the help done with kindness and dignity.
Best wishes.
Helping Hands provided me with excellent care and support following a full hip operation. From my initial contact and throughout the period, they were most professional and helped me to rebuild my confidence and independence. On each daily visit, this was underpinned by a welcoming warmth and understanding of meeting my needs and helping me to recover from my operation. I'm most appreciative of the care and support they provided and would not hesitate to recommend them.
Best wishes.
