Helping Hands Home Care (Rainham)

My mum has lost her sight and has of course been very unhappy . It took a lot for mum to accept help and I was sure it wouldn't work . But that was before Tanya turned up at mums with patience and care mum now regards her as a valuable friend and sees Tanya twice a week on Thursdays she takes mum to the memory cafe and sometimes they stop for lunch . If she has any concerns re mum she lets us know straight away so thank you so much for everything you do xxx

I have only given satisfactory on the money question below purely because 1 and 1/4 hours per day, 7 days a week is costing over £2000 a month and you pay for the carers travel on top of this which is at enhanced rates over weekends, Bank Holidays. This is not something that should be borne by customer.

Following a period in hospital, my family and I felt I would benefit from some help, mainly with housework at home. Helping Hands gives me the help I need. All your staff are very hardworking, pleasant and adaptable. I usually have the same person, but due to holidays, etc., I have met a number of your staff, and they have all been a pleasure to meet. Your management is always helpful and obtainable, too.

We have used Helping Hands for almost 3 years during which our overall experience has improved to excellent. Any problems have been resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The charges are high but in this case can be justified.

Level of care has been excellent- all staff are first class. All clients needs have been met with no complaints. I would recommend.

All the carers are patient, and my wife looks forward to seeing them.

The Rainham team are exceptional. From the moment they came to my Mum's house they were warm, kind, respectful - just wonderful. My Mum is 84, has dementia and was very reluctant to receiving any help (other than family). Within 3 visits she loves them and cannot wait for them to return. The turnaround in my mother's memory, health and mood has been astonishing. She now goes out with them for walks, lunch and has a new lease of life. We are eternally grateful to the team.

I honestly can't express how thankful I am for everything this staff member does. She is a true gem and an outstanding example of what excellent care looks like.
