Homecare Ipswich provide high-quality, person-centred care in the comfort of people’s own homes.

A proud to be a clinically led team, owned and operated by a former community nurse with extensive experience in complex care, the service includes employed RGNs and a skilled care team who deliver safe, consistent support across Ipswich and the surrounding area.

The care is flexible and fully regulated to the highest standards. Support is for adults with a wide range of needs, including neurological conditions, spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, and long-term health conditions that require continuous, skilled input.

In addition to standard home-based care, Homecare Ipswich also operates a dedicated 3-bed complex-care property in Ipswich - designed for clients who need live-in care or a short-term step-down environment before returning home. This enables safe discharge from hospital and provides a homely alternative to residential or nursing placements.

Whether it’s a few hours of support each week, a 24-hour live-in care arrangement, or a full complex package, the goal is always the same - to help every person live safely, independently, and with dignity in a place they can truly call home.

We are very happy with the quality of care my husband receives from Homecare Ipswich, they are the best company we have used in the past 14 years. We have two carers four times a day and they are cheerful, efficient and caring and they keep my husband happy with their teasing and joking. When you're
bed bound, there is not that much to look forward to, so having a laugh and a joke lifts his spirits and stimulates his brain. Also, any deterioration in his health is discussed with me straightaway and we sort out what to do about it. They never rush, they do whatever needs to be done and leave the place clean and tidy. The office are easily contactable and work their socks off to see that everything runs smoothly, I would recommend them to anyone!

Home care is the best care agency that I have used. They are the best because they allow for individuality of the client, they are responsive to need and willing to be flexible. They are friendly and helpful to work with and provide good carers that give good quality care. They are willing to train
carers to take on new roles particularly the more complex care needs. Should an issue arise they are supportive, caring and understanding and always sort it out promptly. I would highly recommend them.

Absolutely amazing company & care provider! We currently have carers visit from this company four times a day for my terminally ill mother. They are the best care providers I've ever come across. In particular I must mention a carer, what an incredible lady! So compassionate, positive, professional
and she has made my family & mums lives much brighter with her visits. These carers never rush, they perform their duties to the highest standards and treat patients like their own family. I'm extremely impressed and grateful. Thank you - it's a testament to the owner and higher management!

We found carers to be friendly, efficient and caring. They did a good job looking after my dad, with him being bed-bound. They expressed concern when he refused to eat and made us aware. They showed patience with him when he was a bit difficult.

A truly amazing team; compassionate, caring, and treated my mum as if she were their own. They came into our home at an incredibly difficult time with Mum having been given a terminal diagnosis. We didn't know what to expect at all (obviously never having been in this situation before). We were both
very nervous about having the carers, but from day one, and the introduction to the team, through to the day they left they were simply wonderful. Providing much-needed support to me also throughout. Mum looked forward to their visits, their chats and their care. They were discreet and respectful, and also a breath of fresh air during a very sad time. When Mum went into the Hospice (her final wishes) the staff there commented on how well Mum had been looked after.
I am so grateful to the team, each and every one of them, I will certainly recommend them and I cannot thank them enough. They really made the last days of her life more bearable. I actually miss the team. Thank you!

I cannot praise enough the care given to my late husband. During the last few weeks that he received care from A1, they were so cheerful and caring with him, much needed at this time. Nothing was too much for them. Always considerate and kind to me.

I can't thank the carers enough for everything they did for us. They made such a difference for my mum which meant we could care for her at home. They were very professional and friendly and my mum always seemed pleased to see them. They only cared for my mum for two weeks but we couldn't have coped
for those two weeks without them.

Generally, the care package has been excellent when the carers that are well known to me attend and only drops when new and inexperienced carers arrive. The carers are always polite, efficient and amenable, wasting no time in getting me clean, dry and comfortable. They lift my spirit when I'm down and
give me confidence when I attempt to walk.

A wonderful team of carers. They came into our lives towards the end of my mum's life. The support, love, care and sometimes needed patience shown to her and the family was so brilliant and much needed at the time.
The continued contact with the office was so helpful and reassuring. I can honestly
say we could not have asked for more. Mum was shown great care and respect by all the carers, but I would like to mention especially two members; they were like a ray of sunshine walking through the door.
Many thanks also to another two particular members of staff for their unending support.
You have been recommended to everybody I know, and I will never be able to thank you enough - on behalf of Mum and myself.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.859) out of 10 for Homecare Ipswich is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.959 for Homecare Ipswich is calculated as follows: ( (47 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 49 Ratings = 4.959
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Homecare Ipswich is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager Joined: 2023

I joined Homecare Ipswich in February 2024 as Branch Manager and have since gained my CQC registration to become the Registered Manager. Care has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mum was the manager of a residential home supporting children with complex needs, so I grew up seeing the positive impact that good care can have on people’s lives.

I started my own career in care at the age of 18, supporting a gentleman on a one-to-one basis. From there, I moved into supported living for adults with learning disabilities, which I really enjoyed. When my family began to grow, I wanted a role that would fit better around home life, so I moved into domiciliary care as a Care Assistant. That move completely changed my outlook on care — I saw firsthand the difference I could make by helping people remain independent in their own homes, with the support they needed to live comfortably and safely.

I love that no two days are ever the same, and that every individual I meet teaches me something new. Being part of a team that makes such a meaningful difference in people’s lives is something I’m truly proud of.

Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2024

I joined Homecare Ipswich in September 2024 as a Care Assistant shortly after leaving school, originally intending for it to be a temporary role before moving on to something else. However, from my very first day, I completely fell in love with the job and haven’t looked back since.

Over time, I’ve been fortunate to grow within the company and now work as a Care Coordinator. I’m also currently working towards my Level 4 qualification to continue developing my skills and knowledge in the field.

What I enjoy most about working at Homecare Ipswich is the genuine difference we make in people’s lives. Being able to support individuals in remaining in their own homes as well as maintaining their independence, dignity, and comfort is incredibly rewarding. I’m proud to be part of a team that is truly compassionate and caring individuals, dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.
