Mum has been under Stokely Healthcare for almost three years, contracted via NHS Continuing Healthcare. The care she has received from the company over this time has been exemplary, with her core team of five consistently going over and above their specified duties. Mum has a neurodegenerative condition (Huntington's Disease, HD), plus other complications. HD is very rare and comes with many challenges as it develops. Stokely and the core team have all been amazing in adjusting with Mums needs over their time, as well as being open to learning about this rare condition via training provided by the Huntingtons Disease Association (HDA). Over this time, I have been reassured to step back from front line caring for Mum as I can place my faith and trust in her team to give mum the best care at home. They have even spent many days on shift rotation with Mum when in hospital. Without this, Mum would have been in an awful position. I wish to write more but can't and can't praise them enough!
All the Stokely carers conduct their work with diligence and kindness. My mother has formed unique loving bonds with the carers. The joy on my mother's face when she sees them is very special.
Stokely carers will also go that extra mile to look after their patients. When my mother had a serious fall, the Stokely carers immediately came late at night to her assistance and stayed with her until the ambulance came. Then visited mum in hospital This was not part of the care package. They did it out of professional compassion and love. True caring at the highest level.
The care is focused on the needs of my mother. Their reliability gives me the reassurance that my mother is always being looked after.
If you wish for those close to you to be looked after with quality care and love, I would recommend Stokely Healthcare.
Communication is key to any relationship and this was exemplary from day one. We knew who was going to look after Mum and felt able to make contact at any point, always receiving good advice and guidance.
Stokely Healthcare staff came into our lives at a time of trauma and anxiety, providing Mum with security and us with the ability to recharge and 'self-care' so that we could recharge and have the strength needed to face the next day. Thank you, you made everything more bearable for us all.
The carers were always on time and always happy and smiling.
As a family, we can't thank Stokely carers enough for their wonderful care right to the end of Dad's life.
I can not compliment the carers at Stokely Healthcare enough. They are kind, sensitive, and truly caring. They come in 3 times a day to care for my elderly parents and have established such a strong bond with them that my Mum and Dad actually look forward to seeing them and they trust them implicitly. All the carers and managers have gone beyond the call of duty to look after them and nothing has ever been too difficult or too time-consuming. They never make them feel like they are simply clients but instead treat them with the kindness and care of a friend or relative. And while my Dad was in hospital recently they even brought Mum in to see him. They communicate clearly and always let me know anything of any concern. I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them and I thoroughly recommend them if you are considering getting additional help for yourself or your loved ones. I thank them non-stop for all they do!
My son who has autism comes along with very challenging behaviors and self-harm when he feels his needs are not being met. Stokley Healthcare staff well adapted to my son's above-mentioned challenging behaviors. They overcame this with their excellent manner of caring for my son and hard work in understanding his needs and showing him love and respect. I felt very safe to keep my son under the care of Stokely staff. Managers are very understanding and easy to contact and they act very fast if I have any concerns. For sure their excellent staff has made my son's life much safer and happier. They are keeping him very clean since my son always has his everyday shower with his night staff and they managed to get him to bed very early so he will be awake early for his college. My son has had a routine of going to bed very late and he used to miss his college often. Happy Mom.
I was initially impressed by the company as they spent a lot of time interviewing us to get all the relevant details of our health conditions and the care we required. The carer was allocated and after a short time became very familiar with our needs. Any changes that were prescribed by our Doctor and Consultants were easily taken care of. The care given has been exemplary, they were always on time and well presented. We have been very pleased with the care given over many months of service with us.
The agency has always been very responsive to potential issues and very active in addressing them and keeping me informed of what was going on. Even on a Sunday evening, they responded within an hour or so.
Her weekly trip to the shop is a Godsend as she relies on this totally for her shopping now she no longer has a milkman.
The family wish to personally thank all at Stokely Healthcare.
There were some good careers.
Unfortunately, the not-great carers did quite a few very unhygienic things regarding caring for my dad.
And they wanted the family to put the two cats away and a little therapy dog away who has no teeth and has helped cancer patients smile.
And yes the family has a nervous collie which we put away in a room for her protection and people when anyone gives us a chance to do this.
And this company tried to pull a fast one by finishing with my dad a day early.
My dad has mainly three caring companies in the three rough years, which another agency was best. The staff were lovely, minus a couple of things which you get with anything no matter what it is.
We tried to provide the best care we could but unfortunately, this was quite complex due to family dynamics. The pets issue, we requested the pets...
