I have this company coming into my house caring for my mum, 4 times a day, They are absolutely wonderful, My mum is bedridden, she now can't speak at all, these ladies and gentlemen come in they talk to her while washing and dressing her, they are so respectful to my home, they treat her with so much care and dignity, I can't praise them enough, every single one who has entered my home have been marvelous,
The Wilkerr team based in Paisley, Scotland, provided at-home medication support to my elderly mother (4 times a day) over a period of several months. The management team, in particular, deserve special credit for how they positively responded to several changes in my mum’s welfare needs and I always found them responsive, flexible and empathetic throughout our relationship. Subsequently, it’s only appropriate that I recognise the high levels of support provided by the Wilkerr team during what was an extremely challenging period for my mum. Thanks to all.
This agency is shocking. Their staff are poorly trained and they have no regard for their client’s safety. In fact, they are dangerous. On the 7th of April 2023, my 78-year-old father was clammy, grey in colour and gasping for breath. He tried to ask the carers to contact his family. They called their office and said he was “A bit wheezy” and he wanted his family. The carers then left the house. WilKerr phoned us and relayed the message. At no point did they realise the gravity of the situation and it was by luck that the family entered the house a few minutes after the carers had left. Shocked and horrified, we dialled, 999, and my father was rushed to hospital. I strongly urge anyone who is being looked after by this company to please ask for someone else to take over. Their poor training and disregard for human life make them incredibly dangerous and they should be closed down My father is still in the hospital and his situation is stable.
When staff attended to P.A.'s father at 10:08, they completed all care tasks and during that visit, he asked them to contact his daughters as he was feeling unwell. The carers called the office at 10:33 am to advise that he was feeling unwell and that he was requesting his daughters to be...
What a difference and change one carer can make. In December I was most upset with this company. They have turned my estimation of them around. Previously we had over 20 different carers coming in over a period of one week, every week. We are very private people and I could not cope with that number of people coming in. It felt like I had a revolving door, now they try to have 5/6 but no more than 10, and so far I am handling it. Seemingly I cannot mention names but the office staff is a gem and tries to work with me. To show how much things have changed my husband spent six days in hospital and they stated he had lost his carers and would go back into the melting pot and a new one selected. I refused. Between us (the office staff and myself), we managed to stay with Wilkerr, and that is quite a change from December 2022. Well done Wilkerr.
The team from the Paisley office recently looked after my dad during the last few weeks of his life.
The whole team were caring, respectful, professional and compassionate.
Not only did they ensure that every part of my dad's health care was taken care of and to a high standard, their attention to detail and overall care, from the way and manner in which they spoke to my dad, to taking a few extra minutes to stop and give my mum a cuddle when they could see she needed it, was over and above what was required.
They honestly made a truly awful situation a little better and reassured us that our dad was in both capable and kindly hands.
