Over the period in question the new equipment has been introduced for the client and the carer staff have coped very well with the changes in routine that this has entailed. As before the carers have all been extremely pleasant and conscientious. Generally the office staff have been very helpful in keeping us informed of any changes and possible delays.

Over the last nine months looking after and caring for our mum the standard of care has been first-class and excellent. The care has been very compassionate with a great deal of kindness shown in looking after Mum's needs, she is elderly and very frail, time is taken to speak to her and make sure she is fine. The care staff have built up a good relationship with our mum, which has been very important. Importantly Meloosha Homecare Livingston keeps us in the loop with the daily online reports and calls if anything needs to be brought to our attention. Meet the Team (1)
I am the Business Owner and Care Manager for Meloosha Homecare Livingston. Here is my story.
I grew up within the farming community in Perthshire and moved to West Lothian back in 1994. I worked within the corporate world and eventually found myself at a crossroads in my life in 2016, “Do I return to the corporate world or enter the Care Industry ?” I felt I would find Caring for others rewarding and wanted to give back to my local community, therefore I joined the care industry as a Homecare Assistant. Then I moved to another care-at-the-home company that held the same values and ethos of the type of care I wanted to provide and make a difference in someone's day.
Over the next 5 years, I moved from being a Supervisor to a Care Co-Ordinator, then Office Manager and finally became the Care Manager for the last 2.5 years.
I knew I could do more so I decided to take up the challenge of running my own business.
Here we are in 2022, using my 16 years of corporate experience and 6 years of Care at Home, I have launched the very first franchisee with Meloosha Homecare based in West Lothian, looking forward to helping families and their loved ones and offering employment to people who actually do care and want to make improvements in our clients day to day lives.
When I provide care to others, I always have my late nana at the forefront of my mind, and ask myself “How would I want my nana to be treated?” If not good enough for my nana then not good enough for anyone else.
In my spare time, I enjoy pottering about in the greenhouse. I also love being back on the local bowling green and enjoy reading while surrounded by my dogs and cats.
