Ivy Grace Home Care offers bespoke person-centred care in your own home. The team very much believe that every voice counts, and they want to be a care company with a difference. The main goal is to help keep service users as independent as possible which will enable them to stay in their own home. The team are not only there to support service users but also their family and they do this by listening to them.
Ivy Grace offer a wide range of services without you having to leave your own home. Personal care, companionship, housework, shopping, appointments, medication management, food preparation and much more.
The team are all fully trained and DBS checked. They also provide all the staff with additional training depending on the needs of the service user.
Call times range from a 15 minute check visit - this allows peace of mind for family members to have the option of adding in additional calls if they go away just to check up and ensure they have a drink and are okay. Call times go up in 15 minute increments so 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes and so on.
The team do a no obligation assessment first which can take around 1 hour+, this is just to ensure they have all the important details needed to do a person-centred care plan. If you're happy, they will arrange times that suit you and a start date.
Ivy Grace Home Care Home are available to call 24 hours a day, so you have peace of mind that you can call the team whenever you need too.

During the time period my mother had increased needs and the extra visits were put in place extremely promptly.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. If my mother is able to return to her own home in the future we would absolutely be asking Ivy Grace if they could support her again.

I had to cancel them at short notice and they were so understanding and accommodating. When Mum came out of hospital they were there for her immediately. They treat my mum with care and dignity, as well as being so friendly and helpful. They are great at keeping me updated too. I can't recommend this company enough.

I joined Ivy Grace a few months ago, and this has been my best decision to join this team, why? Because they do their best to try and maintain my independence, I am wheelchair-bound and need full personal care. I love my garden, and they help me with watering my plants, picking the fruits off my trees and repotting some plants. I also like to be involved with preparing my meals, and they are my helping hands. And they keep my pet dog happy as well by providing a dog walking service.

Hi, I'm Katy Thrower, the Director of Ivy Grace Home Care LTD.
I and Naomi decided to set this business up to help provide a reliable home care service to our local community. Along with the Care crisis, we decided now was the time to do it.
I have been in the industry for over 20years and completed my Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
Our aim is to provide person-centred care to those who are in need of help at home. Having personally experienced working with care companies, I now have the knowledge of what's needed and wanted in this industry.

I started working in social care 9 years ago but in those 9 years, I gained my level 5 in health and social care and have learnt an extensive amount about how an agency should be run and how it shouldn’t be.
For generations, social care has been part of my life. My nan had various successful care homes, my mum was a district nurse and was part of a very successful care agency which still runs today.
We decided to start Ivy Grace Home Care, because,
1 - The care crisis and home care agencies just do not have the capacity to take on service users in need.
2 - We can do it the right way.
Running a home care agency isn’t for everyone. It requires the best of the best, those who aren’t afraid of challenges and are determined to tackle caregiver turnover and recruiting.
Most of my care background is in recruiting the right care workers and ensuring they are DBS checked and trained correctly to provide the right care in your home.
Staff turnover in care is extremely high, and that can be for so many different reasons. This makes a huge impact on the service users we care for, as it means having many different carers in their homes.
I will do my best to help change this with the help of my colleagues, by making sure employees are appreciated and get the recognition they deserve for the skills and abilities they bring to the job.
