Staff are reliable trustworthy professional and caring. Mum is always treated with dignity.
They always visit between the allocated times.
Something to work on would be the app available for people without a computer so you can see what care has been delivered.

If this isn't possible a paper copy or communication sheet should be placed in the home so carers and family can work together.

Helping Hands are a reliable, caring mainstay with helping with my mother, who is becoming increasingly frail on her own.
Toni is amazing at keeping me up to date with changes that crop up and knowing that I can contact her about anything to do with Mum, gives me peace of mind.
Toni understands my mother's needs and recognises that the consistency of having the same carers visiting makes it easier for Mum.

The ongoing care of 3 visits a day is invaluable and I can rest assured my mother is in safe hands.

We appreciate the respectful and kind way you care for our mother. She has always been very independent, so your morning and evening visits, make sure that continues. Your carers have known when it was appropriate to raise concerns and what appropriate action to take. Thank you for all you do.

Helping Hands have provided reliable, consistent and caring support to both my husband and myself. They also provided additional support at 24 hours notice when I had an unexpected operation and needed much more assistance.Carers came in every evening to get my husband ready for bed and also increased their daytime visits .My recovery would not have been so successful without this help .I am grateful to all the team and know I can access additional support should I require it

From a communication point of view with the office via email, this has been an excellent service. Toni has been responsive to adjustments in the care requirements and calls for my sister. The care provided on the whole from my perspective has been positive for what is quite an intricate care call, consistency with carers is always welcome, but not always available, this is understandable. Thanks for the continued support.

I have received very good care from the people assigned to me. It has been easier for me to have the same carers each day as you have a more personal relationship with them and they know where everything goes in the house. Nothing has been refused when asked to do it. The office staff have always been helpful in trying to fit me out with compatible carers.

Helping hands come in 3 days a week to look after Mum. Helping her shower and get ready etc.
Also helping with other tasks - ironing, gardening, walking (or driving!) her up to the local shop etc.
No chore seems to be too great!
What is good is that it is the same friendly face each time, so there is continuity and a bond between mum and the carer Rachel.

We are very pleased with the service and would recommend helping hands to others.

Thankyou for providing very reliable and consistent care for our father. Currently our father is independent however, he needs two short visits each week to provide some essential care and support. The carers are now familiar to him which is much appreciated. I would recommend Helping Hands to others.

Helping Hands provided home care to our Mum as her illness progressed. The staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide the support needed. They often went above and beyond, for example staying with Mum if an ambulance had been called.
The online portal was really helpful for understanding Mums needs especially as I live in a different city.

Would highly recommend Helping Hands.

Wonderful people who come in and feed my dad, tidy the house and feed the cats while I am away. Have used them a few times. Always helpful. It's nice to go away and know that everything is covered. I come home to a happy dad, clean house and clean litter trays. Exactly what you want after getting a flight at midnight in February. Have used a few times before. Will definitely book again. Have also requested them for house cleaning when I am too ill or busy. Or just overrun by circumstances. The whole team are fabulous.

I am very happy with Helping Hands. My mum has been well cared for. The staff are very kind and caring. Also I am able to talk to the management team very easily.

It's great to be able to rely on the Helping Hands team especially as my sister and myself live so far from our mum. We are able to call Helping Hands easily to stop them coming in when myself or my sister are with mum for long stretches of time.

Helping Hands have been supporting my Mum for over a year now, and the care from the team has been wonderful throughout. Mum has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and needs help with day to day tasks.
When Mum and I first met with Care Coordinator, we were asked about interests and hobbies as well as the practical support needed. Mum has regular carers, which is very helpful as it takes her a while to remember people now, and she has been matched with a brilliant team, who understand her and have got to know what works in her care, activities she enjoys - such as gardening, being outdoors and music - and she has regular outings and adventures during the day.
The team also make sure Mum and her cat have good food, that the house is kept clean and safe and have taken her to appointments when needed.

I highly recommend Helping Hands, and we would be lost without the team. Thank you for looking after my lovely Mum so well.

Helping Hands provided a really helpful service for my mother. As her mobility worsened, they provided increasing care. When my mother fell, I was informed by a neighbour. Since I lived away, I could not get to my mother for a few hours. I rang Helping Hands, who sent a carer straight away to stay with her until I was able to get there and the ambulance arrived. This was a great relief. I would definitely recommend Helping Hands.

Very good support from manager and staff at Helping Hands Home Care (Huddersfield).
Routine hospital support visits are very good and reliable although some carers when new, are not informed by the head office/previous carers of the route or correct entrance to use which has sometimes resulted in arriving late for treatments.

Regular home visits vary depending on carer. Some are excellent and take initiative to do odd jobs, make drinks and visit shops etc. Others just sit there and wait for my elderly mother to make them a drink and generally entertain them, basically adding no value, other than a bit of company during the two-hour visit.

I needed home care after suffering a slipped disc during a 9 week wait for surgery and for a few weeks post-op.
The assessment of needs was professional, warm and reassuring. A dear contact helped define what we agreed would be given and flexibility was also possible.
The carers who visited were completely reliable, cheerful positive and carried out anything we agreed and more.

I would recommend this service without reservation.

The service provided by Helping Hands was fine - attendance, time-keeping, duties performed etc - were all performed to a good standard and reflected the background and training given to the staff.

However, the client (my mother) was upset and annoyed by the fact that although every attempt was made by Helping Hands to provide continuity of staff personnel, she couldn't cope with different staff arriving each week.

Helping Hands cared for my father during his convalescence after breaking his leg. The care was very friendly and always on time. The carers went above and beyond to make sure his surroundings were clean and safe at all times and that he was talked to like a person, not a client. Couldn't recommend a better company. We have used other companies before who did the bare minimum, which Helping Hands certainly doesn't; they are happy to help in any way. Thanks again for caring for my dad.
