I have been a client of B&H since September 2022 and the service has steadily improved during that time. What I find so impressive is their willingness for, and response to feedback, good and bad, re carer performance. The care team have recently started assisting me with transport in my own Wheelchair
Accessible Vehicle to and from work, with the potential for other appointments, and are amazingly efficient. E.g. I work from home most of the time but needed to attend the office due to a technical problem at home. Hazel, Registered Care Manager, managed to change the rota for the following morning, to accommodate my needs, within two minutes. The whole team really do go above and beyond to help and are critically aware of timings to support my full-time working routine. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I am POA and friend of a 96 year old man in the care of B&H. This is my first experience of a care agency, and I must say that I have nothing but praise for the carers and the way the company is run. I have a number that I can call in emergencies, or I can message updates to things like medication
or doctor visits etc. this works well as I can provide photos of prescriptions and labels on medication to ensure that the care plan is accurately updated.
When medications have changed, the care plan is updated immediately, and when my friend asked for different get up and bed times, these were accommodated within a few days.
We have access to an App, on which all of the visits are very accurately and clearly recorded along with all actions taken by the carer on the visit. There are regular manager spot checks on the staff, and care reviews by management to make sure we are all happy.
This is paid for care but cheaper than a home and my friend is happier at home.

Agency going from strength to strength. B&H have provided domiciliary care for our son for over two years. Staff are well trained, punctual and understanding of needs of client. Communication is good, weekly rotas always sent through and any changes notified in good time. Reassuring as a parent
to know good care and support is being provided for our son.

The service has been very good since being set up eight months ago after hospital admission. Organised smoothly and care has continued daily with morning visit; lunch time visits for ensuring eating were stopped after two months after being successful.
Care has continued with friendly staff throughout
and Dad is very happy and content. Extra care post cataract surgery was taken on board without any problems.

My husband required full time care for 18 months.
B & H care were absolutely amazing. The carers were all wonderful people who went above and beyond their duties, in fact we were so fond of them they became like our friends.
They always made sure my husband never lost his dignity. They were always
happy and just truly exceptional people who made my husband feel safe and comfortable.
The admin team were also unbelievably supportive, so helpful at all times.
Extremely accommodating to my husbands changing needs.
I would 100 percent recommend this wonderful home care company as a family we truly can't
thank you enough for all that you all did for my husband to make his and my life so much easier and for always being there on the other end of the phone.
Thank you so much, we won't forget any of your staff and the kindness that my husband and myself were given.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.927 for B & H Care is calculated as follows: ( (38 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 41 Ratings = 4.927
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for B & H Care is based on 7 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.7
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
