Experience-Catherine has over 25 years’ experience as a care leader working with older adults, people with learning disabilities, and those with complex challenging behaviour. She has turned around failing teams, built high-performing teams and led business expansions. Her passion for putting people first and valuing both care workers and the people they support led her to take on a role with Abihealth in 2025. Catherine Corner's educational history includes attending St John's Roman Catholic School, Bishop Auckland, from 1984 to 1988. Catherine has obtained additional certifications, including a Level 5 Managing Medication Systems from Teesside University in November 2016, a Leadership and Management Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 5 in 2014, Acas Trained in Managing People, Fire Marshal, IOSH Qualified, NVQ 2 Health and Social Care, and NVQ 3 Health and Social Care. Catherine has been a speaker twice at the National Care Management show and has also led teams to be in the top 20 Homecare providers in the NE Top 20 Home Care Providers North East England 2025 - (Hexham, Whitley Bay, Morpeth, Ponteland & Consett) for 2 years running.
