My dad went into hospital and he was my Mum's main career so we needed to source a package of care why he was in the hospital and recovering. We was recommended home care via a friend so we got in touch with home care to see if they could come out and do an assessment on Mum and if they had availability,
they was very prompt in coming to do the assessment and the assessor was very kind and listened to what my mum wanted and also identified some other support she needed. they made the care support plan very person to mums day to day routine as Mum liked her routine and could get very upset if it changes . The office team and the management team were very professional and caring and listen to what Mum had to say. also the care team that supported Mum in her home was very professional, very caring and gave Mum her dignity and respect and listen to her choices without judging her some days, my mum could be very anxious and upset, and the carers always stay with her until she felt better
Reply from Lydia McCann, Deputy Manager at Private Homecare Kent LtdThank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed and thoughtful feedback. We understand how challenging this period must have been for your family, and we are pleased we were able to support your mum while your dad was in hospital and recovering.
It is especially meaningful to hear that the assessment, care planning, and day-to-day support were tailored to your mum's routine and individual needs, as maintaining dignity, choice, and person-centred care is extremely important to us. We are also glad to know that the team were able to support your mum during times of anxiety and provide reassurance when she needed it most.
Your kind words will be shared with the office, management, and care teams, who will truly appreciate this feedback. Thank you again for your trust and for recommending our service.

Would highly recommend Lisa & her team. They have been fantastic in looking after my Parents over the last 6 months. My Mum especially was very anxious about having strangers in to her home but everyone was so kind, friendly and caring nothing was too much trouble, they very much looked forward to their
visits each day. Thankyou very much all of you.

I am 95 and I have had a carer for 8 years recently she needed some time off and I engaged someone to take her place. I was very impressed with all she did for me to keep me in my own home. I will need some help again in October and have already booked her assistance.

Private Homecare Kent provided care services to an elderly lady friend of mine. They cared for her during the last two years of her life, during which her care needs gradually increased. They provided carers for four one-hour visits per day. Mornings to attend to her personal care, dressing, medication
and breakfast requirements. Lunch times when they cooked a meal for her, made hot drinks and ensured that she was toileted, and was left with plenty of fluids to drink. Teatime, providing more hot food and drinks and ensuring that she took her medication. Evening visits to get her ready for bed.
Private Homecare Kent also undertook domestic duties including laundry and housework etc.
The carers provided were all reliable and conscientious. They built a good friendly relationship with my friend and kept me advised of any problems that needed attending to.
I was very impressed with the company and had full confidence that my friend was safe and well looked after under their care.

The team have been invaluable in caring for my father. They are kind, reliable and professional. My father's wishes were at all times respected and they looked after him so well. Because of the range of help they provided (keys being cut, delivering food, shopping, holding cash, picking up prescriptions
etc) my dad was able to stay in his own home for longer and the family had some respite from his care.

I will always be incredibly grateful to the Manager and the other ladies who supported our family. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I do not believe anyone or any other company would/could provide the level of care these ladies provided.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.938 for Private Homecare Kent Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (45 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.938
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews.
