I'm sorry to hear that you've felt this way, especially after so many years of caring for your mum. Had you contacted us at the time, we may have been able to offer support. Unfortunately, we are required to have the service user's permission before we can share information or speak with family members, and we must respect their wishes in this regard.
We are so sorry to hear that you had such a difficult experience with your previous carer. It must have been incredibly stressful and hurtful. It sounds like your mother has been very well cared for and it's clear that you deeply appreciate the dedication and professionalism of her care staff. It's wonderful to hear that the care plan adjustments and communication have been handled smoothly and the app has provided you with peace of mind. The fact that only one call was non-attended due to snow in seven years is impressive and speaks volumes about the commitment of the care team. Joined Sesnha Care in 2020 to restructure and modernize its approach to the demands of adult social care in the 21st century. Achieving aims using my extensive experience in management, leadership and team building.
I have dedicated my career to the care industry since leaving school, beginning my journey as a registered nurse in 1976. After the birth of my first child, I embraced a new challenge by moving into the emerging field of domiciliary care.
Starting as a carer, I progressed through various roles across different care organisations. Since joining Sesnha in 2004 as a duty manager/coordinator, I have steadily advanced to manager, office manager, and currently serve as a registered manager.
Committed to continuous professional development, I have completed my NVQ Level 2, Apprenticeship NVQ Level 3, and am currently halfway through the HABC Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
My ongoing dedication to learning and leadership has strengthened my ability to deliver the highest standards of care and support within the industry.
Since leaving school I have always worked in an office environment, starting as an Office Junior and then moving forward in accounting.
I started with SESNHA CARE in 1994 as a Finance Officer and then acquired qualifications in payroll, paying at some point 400 employees on a fortnightly basis.
Now working as a Finance and Payroll Manager.
I was born in Rochford, Essex. I was educated in Thurrock.
My first job was in the city working for an investment bank on the trading floor. I went on to work in a variety of roles in banking. In 2013 I did a 360 career change and joined SESNHA as an administrator and trainer.
I began my working life in London, employed by M&S and The Reject Shop. After relocating to Essex when my children were in primary school, I transitioned into the care sector to find work that accommodated my family's needs. I started in domiciliary care in 1995 and have been a dedicated member of the Sesnha Care team since 2004.
Beginning my career as a carer, I was able to balance work with raising my three children. As they grew older, I took the opportunity to develop my career further—progressing from carer to care coordinator, and eventually to office manager.
Throughout my journey in the care industry, I have remained passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting both clients and colleagues. I have also achieved my NVQ Level 2 and NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, further solidifying my knowledge and commitment to the field.
I was born in Barking, Essex, and completed my education in Dagenham. I began my career as a qualified hairdresser before taking time to raise my two children. In 2007, I entered the care sector with Staffline in Barking, starting as a carer. I later transitioned to SESNHA, where I’ve grown professionally and now serve as a Care Coordinator.
With an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and over 15 years of experience in the industry, I bring compassion, dedication, and strong organisational skills to my role. I am passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting both service users and care teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Before joining Sesnha, I worked in a primary school, where I developed strong skills in working with children and supporting their early development. I'm also a qualified hairdresser, which has given me a creative and hands-on approach to everything I do.
I’m a proud parent of three adult children and, excitingly, became a nanny for the first time this year—an experience I’m truly enjoying as I continue my journey working closely with Adults and families.
I joined Sesnha Care in 2020 and have been proud to be part of a dedicated and compassionate team. During my time away from the organisation, I took a year out to travel the world, exploring new cultures and experiences. One of the most memorable moments from that journey was getting married in Australia.
Returning to Sesnha Care after that time away felt like coming home. The values of person-centred care, professionalism, and community connection continue to make this an incredibly rewarding place to work.
