What a gem of a service this is! They are so personal and genuinely caring, whilst being skilled, professional and in line with all regulations for the safety and wellbeing of my vulnerable elderly Mum. Her career has spanned hospital, community and care home environments in Scotland and internationally, with a strong focus on supporting older people and individuals living with complex or long-term conditions.
She brings together extensive clinical knowledge with senior leadership experience in areas such as governance, compliance and service quality. Her approach is centred on ensuring care is safe, consistent and delivered with dignity, while also supporting positive outcomes for individuals and their families.
Alongside her role at Waverley Carers, Carolyn is actively involved in sharing knowledge within the wider sector through training and professional writing, with a particular interest in improving standards of care, ethical practice and service development.
Carolyn holds a BSc in Gerontological Nursing and has developed specialist expertise in the care of older adults, underpinned by a strong background in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
