My name is Victoria Asekun, and I am the Registered Manager and a Director at Tender Care and Support Services Limited. With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I have built a career grounded in compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to improving the lives of individuals living with mental health challenges. My journey in mental health nursing has taken me across diverse clinical, community, and crisis care settings, where I have had the privilege of supporting people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Throughout my career, I have developed extensive expertise in psychiatric assessment, care planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic engagement. I take pride in my ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their families, using a person-centred approach that emphasises dignity, respect, and recovery. My role has often extended beyond direct care — I have collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, advocated for patients’ rights, and worked with carers to ensure holistic, sustainable support.

In addition to frontline care, I have embraced opportunities to mentor, supervise, and train junior staff, fostering growth and professional development within nursing teams. I am known for my calm and empathetic approach in high-pressure situations, as well as my commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

Over the years, I have supported individuals with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and substance misuse. Each experience has reinforced my belief in the resilience of people and the importance of compassionate, skilled mental health care in promoting recovery and well-being.
