My name is Idah Ruzive, and I am the Registered Manager at Sunrise Living Care Ltd. I possess extensive experience across both the health and social care sectors, with more than 21 years dedicated primarily to health care.

My journey in health and social care began during the early stages of my career, when I worked weekends as a Support Worker and Healthcare Assistant in hospitals, nursing homes, residential homes, and domiciliary care alongside my teaching career. I progressed further and acquired relevant qualifications in both the social care sectors. My background is predominantly nursing-led.

I am deeply committed to delivering person-centred care through a strengths-based approach that promotes independence, upholds human rights, and supports individuals to exercise choice and control over their own care. I prioritise active listening and collaboration with carers, families, and those receiving support. Ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals is central to my practice. I believe that effective communication, cultural awareness, partnership working, and empowerment are essential to providing high-quality care and meeting each person’s unique needs.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters, socialising, swimming, and going for walks while listening to gospel music. I also enjoy watching Netflix and taking occasional holidays.
