Every client is assigned a dedicated, consistent carer who knows them, understands their needs, and becomes a trusted part of their routine. That continuity is central to how the service operates, not a marketing promise.
Carers at SAL are paid the Real Living Wage as a minimum, with a clear progression ladder, because well-paid carers stay. Stable carers mean stable relationships for the people they look after.
New care packages are accepted within 24 hours, with same-day starts available for hospital discharge. Initial home assessments take place within 48 hours of first contact, at no charge to the family.
Families exploring care for the first time can hold an initial conversation by phone, at home, or at SAL's Wimborne office. There is no minimum contract, no hidden fees, and no obligation. If SAL is not the right fit, they will say so.

Minimum 60-minute visits. Weekday daytime hourly £38, weekend hourly £40, evenings after 8pm +£5/hr, bank holidays £48/hr.
Complex and specialist care from £40/hr weekday, £45/hr weekend.
Waking nights £360 flat ( 10 hours ), sleeping nights £280 flat.
Live-in care from £1,950/week ( 1 person ), including up to 10 hours of daytime support with a 2-hour daily break and a private room for the carer; waking nights charged separately.
£2,150 is charged for Live-in care for a couple.
Live-in care for someone living with dementia or anyone with complex needs is charged from £2,100.
Double-up care is charged per carer.
Mileage outside a 2-mile radius 45p/mile, plus parking/tolls at cost. Regulated personal care (incl. medication support) is VAT-exempt; non-regulated concierge services priced separately. Bespoke plans follow a free assessment and are reviewed as needs change or annually. My family and I are so pleased to have found SAL. They have been providing 24 hour homecare for my parents who suffer from dementia. The level of commitment and understanding towards the needs of Mum and Dad is wonderful.

My family and I are so pleased to have found SAL. They have been providing 24 hour homecare for my parents who suffer from dementia. The level of commitment and understanding towards the needs of Mum and Dad is wonderful. Safety and wellbeing being the top priority, they also provide companionship and importantly, comfort when situations become muddled and confusing. Both of my parents take medication at different times of day and need help with daily routines. The team are very aware of making Mum (especially) feel independent and subtly guide her through the day. As a family we feel confident that Mum and Dad are in good hands and are receiving loving care when we are not there. Sincerely

My overall experience of our carer has been first class right from the very first interaction. My parents felt comfortable with their carer from the first meeting and felt that she was very thorough and could provide what they required in the most individual, flexible, caring and sensitive way. The level of care provided has exceeded our expectations. Right from the first visit she has gone above and beyond to assist them both with what was initially required and anything else that has cropped up that they have needed when she has visited. We all agree that this was a necessary step we needed to take and I would not hesitate to recommend SAL Healthcare to anyone requiring a similar type of home care.
