My journey into care is deeply personal. I have always understood the importance of compassionate, respectful and person-centred support because I grew up with a disabled brother who required around-the-clock care. Being part of his care and seeing the difference that dedicated, compassionate support can make had a lasting impact on me and inspired me to pursue a career in the care sector.
I have now gained 7 years of experience in care and support, along with 5 years of management experience within the care sector. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong understanding of the importance of dignity, independence, respect and treating every individual as a person first.
My experience has allowed me to support both service users and care staff, while helping to maintain high standards of care.
I am a devoted and compassionate carer who genuinely loves what I do. I believe that care is more than simply completing tasks — it is about building trust, listening, showing empathy and helping people feel valued, safe and respected. My personal experiences have given me a natural sense of sympathy, patience and understanding, which I bring into everything I do.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time looking after my son and making the most of precious family time. My family is very important to me, and they have taught me the value of kindness, patience and being there for the people who need you.
I am proud to work in care and passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives. For me, caring is not just a job — it is something I genuinely love and believe in.
