Health Care assistant

Great Prospects Care Ltd is a provider of non-medical care, such as personal care, help with social activities and companionship services for people living in their own home. They provide in house training and flexible working, matching their carers to their clients based on interests and hobbies to help build a trusting relationship and to maintain care continuity.

Job Description

As a health care assistant at Canterbury, Hernebay and Whitstable, you will travel to client's houses and provide a range of care services to enable them to continue to live independently in their own homes.

They are looking for someone with flexible working hours to join their team. They are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for their clients. The role includes assisting clients with:

morning routines when they get up such as personal care,
helping the clients with tasks around the home,
cooking meals,
going shopping
taking clients to appointments,
taking the client today care centres or church
taking clients to bus rides/journeys
assisting with medication
encouraging interests and hobbies
or just providing them with a company!
Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a health care assistant. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others. This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure.
