About the Role
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, you will support people to maintain their independence and live comfortably at home. Your responsibilities will include:
- Personal care – assisting with washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, and maintaining dignity at all times
- Food and hydration support – preparing meals, supporting with eating and drinking, and monitoring nutritional needs
- Medication assistance – prompting or administering medication in line with care plans and company policy
- Household tasks – light cleaning, laundry, shopping, and helping maintain a safe, comfortable home environment
- Companionship – offering emotional support, conversation, and social interaction
- Record keeping – completing accurate, clear notes and reporting any concerns promptly
