  • Home Care Assistant 
  • Based in Gateshead
  • Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour + mileage at £0.30 per mile & travel time at £12.21 per hour 
  • Hours: 4/3 shift pattern & alternate weekends
  • Areas Covered: Gateshead, Ne10, Ne9, Ne8, DH3, NE16, NE11, NE40, NE39, NE17, and NE21
  • No experience necessary – paid training and induction to ensure you feel confident in your role. 
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is ideal. Walking routes available.

Your Role as a Home Care Assistant

As a Home Care Assistant, you’ll support individuals in Gateshead to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone’s day brighter and yours more fulfilling.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assisting with personal care routines (washing, dressing, toileting) 
  • Supporting medication and meal preparation 
  • Helping with light domestic tasks and grocery needs 
  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
  • No experience necessary, we have had people join from hospitality, retail, and customer service backgrounds
