Job Description

·  Providing personal care in clients' homes (mobility, washing, dressing, feeding), administering medication, monitoring health, and meal preparation.

·  Continence care: including support to use the toilet, using a commode or urine bottle, support to correctly fit pads etc

·  Mobility and transfers, including utilising any equipment the Service User has been assessed for, e.g. hoists, stand aids, turners, glide sheets, handling belts, etc

·  Everyday practical tasks e.g. emptying bins, disposal of clinical waste, home security, fire lighting etc. Also, supporting with correspondence, shopping, domestic work, laundry etc

·  Essential handling of service user money e.g. shopping, collecting pensions or benefits, paying bills or other simple errands

·  Liaison with other professionals e.g. Health Workers and families on behalf of the Service User as required

·  Recording and reporting
