Local Community Care Assistant – Part Time – Hitchin

Job summary

Are you looking for part-time care work with a clear, regular shift pattern in your local area?
We are recruiting local drivers to support people in their own homes across Hitchin (SG5) and surrounding areas (Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage).

Please note: We cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK.

What you’ll be doing

• Visiting people in their own homes in and around Hitchin (SG5)
• Supporting with personal care, meals and daily routines
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Recording visit notes via our care app
• Working with a consistent group of clients where possible

Shifts & availability (please read carefully)

This part-time role is for one of the following fixed shift patterns:

• Early shifts: 7:00am – 2:00pm

OR

• Late shifts: 4:00pm – 10:00pm

You will be assigned to either earlies or lates, not both.
Alternate weekend working is required.

Who we’re looking for

• You already have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable car
• You live in or close to Hitchin (SG5)
• You are caring, dependable and comfortable working independently
