Anchusa Care

I rely upon the carers' twice-daily visits to help me get up, shower, get dressed, brush my hair and give me my medication. In the evening they also give me medication and prepare me for bed. The carers are always diligent, cheerful, willing and respectful of my dignity. I am always very pleased to see them.

In general the care has been good. At times there are 3 and different ones on each day - causing frustrations as each has to have explained what is required to be done. But mom is happy with the care and some carers are just amazing and provide excellent care and support. Visiting time is short.

My father has been with Anchusa Care for one month and as found the staff all to be kind and willing to help and assist.

The carers are so friendly, kind, helpful and always happy and smiling.

When my Dad came out of hospital and had carers it was a huge adjustment but it was made so much easier with this kind company and the lovely staff they employ

So far I have nothing to complain about.

I really like the carers that come to me and have with everything. Enjoy the reviews as nice to put face to name and run through all or any changes. Recently, one change is being taken out for a walk, and some exercises at the sink, which is going well, as having the carers with me in the morning for a walk works well.

Excellent service from all sectors, Management, both face to face and on the telephone, and also the Carers, of Anchusa Care. Carers always on time and respectful and took on every task with a smile on their face.

Anchusa care have been amazing in looking after my elderly mother who initially was recovering from a broken hip but now had been diagnosed with Dementia Alzheimer's. The care team are extremely friendly and go above and beyond helping my mum dress and wash and my mum has really formed a strong relationship with her two main careers which is essential with someone who has dementia.

Kind caring carers who were able to increase Mum's care very quickly after Mum deteriorated. Mum was reviewed to ensure the care met her needs. The carers are trustworthy and escalate any issues Mum has.

I am the full-time carer for my wife, diagnosed with severe dementia in 2021. We have been supported by Anchusa for 3 years, with 3 visits daily by two carers, 7 days a week – without fail. They give us expert care, continuity of staff, sensitivity, and humour. As a younger woman, she was feisty, forthright, and very independent. She still is, and that’s been a challenge for care staff. But they always maximize her sense of control, empathize with her fears, and manage her cooperation expertly using creative ways of engaging. They recognize my needs as well. Managers are always available if I need them, and are proactive in getting regular feedback. Training and support seem excellent. I also appreciate that their fees for self-payers are pegged to the fees paid by the Council. Anchusa’s values seem embedded at all levels. We feel lucky we live in their catchment area.

I would always recommend Anchusa to anybody who is looking for carers for one of their family.

The care my Mother has received to date has been excellent. Mum has enjoyed developing a relationship with her carers, of whom she fully trusts. It is reassuring for me that she has confidence in her carers and enjoys their visits. Any concerns that I or they have, are fully communicated and addressed swiftly.

Brilliant care service for my mother that enabled her to stay in her home until the age of 95 despite some serious hospital visits. My mother could trust the carers who provided valuable support. I found Anchusa always prepared to help if any problems cropped up.

My main carer is unreliable in keeping to time, arriving only at an unpredictable time. I need reliability.

Anchusa Care came into my son's flat to care for him as he was diagnosed with MND which is a very cruel disease. They visited his flat four times a day and also through the night when required. It was always a two-carer team and a single carer through the night. Myself and my family found them to be an excellent, professional company and very reliable, always on time, they took so much pressure off of my family. My son was bedridden and had to be hoisted on all visits which they took in their stride and would not leave until he was settled and comfortable and myself and my family cannot thank them enough.
