Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including senior care, supported living and home care environments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Assist with medication management and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for all clients while respecting their dignity and privacy.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in older people care or home care is highly desirable.
