What the role involves

As a Community Care Assistant, you will support people in their own homes with day-to-day care and companionship. Your role may include:

  • Providing friendly companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
  • Supporting clients with mobility and helping them move safely around their home
  • Assisting with medication in line with care plans
  • Helping with light household duties, meal preparation and general daily routines
  • Running errands such as shopping or collecting prescriptions
  • Ensuring every client feels respected, comfortable and well cared for

You do not need previous care experience; full training is provided. What matters most is your attitude and values.
