Aurora Community Care isn’t a faceless corporation—it’s the creation of two locals and supported by a close-knit team of hand-picked Care Givers who treat every client like a neighbour they’ve known for years. With over 30 years of combined experience, the team brings calm, competent support into the place people cherish most: home.

From a quick 30-minute “pop-in” to round-the-clock complex care, every visit is built around the individual, not the rota. Aurora provides help with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, medication, companionship, and specialist Dementia & Parkinson’s care—always delivered with dignity and a dash of good humour.

Families often highlight three things that set Aurora apart:
• Heart, not hierarchy – as a family-run service, they answer to the people they care for, not shareholders.
• Consistency – the same friendly faces arrive each time, building trust and keeping routines running smoothly.
• Try first promise – the first 14 days require only 24 hours’ notice to cancel, and after that just 7 days. No long contracts, no nasty surprises.

Aurora Community Care serves Worthing, Goring-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Rustington, Lancing and surrounding villages. Free, no-obligation consultations ensure families receive honest advice—even if they choose a different path.

If the thought of Mum finally feeling safe in her own kitchen—or Dad laughing again over a cup of tea—brings peace of mind, Aurora is just a phone call away. Turning worry into hope, and “just coping” into living well at home.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.500) out of 10 for Aurora Community Care is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for Aurora Community Care is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Aurora Community Care is based on 2 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 = 3.5

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager

I’m Jodi, Aurora Community Care’s Registered Manager. My job is simple: make sure every visit is safe, kind and genuinely useful. I hold a Level 5 Diploma (NVQ) in Leadership for Health & Social Care, and I lead our service across Worthing, Goring-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Steyning, Storrington and nearby villages.

I personally meet families, complete thorough assessments, and put clear, outcome-focused care plans in place. Day to day, I oversee safeguarding, risk assessments, medication practice (including MAR audits), incident reviews and learning. I recruit for values, verify references and DBS, and make sure every Care Giver is trained, observed and supervised—not just once, but continuously. If something isn’t safe, we won’t do it. If something can be improved, we fix it fast.

My approach is straightforward: person first, task second. We plan around routines, preferences and goals so people can live well at home—whether that’s a short welfare check, help with personal care, or complex, overnight support. Families get honest updates, consistent faces and realistic schedules. We work closely with GPs, community nurses and therapists so support is joined-up, not piecemeal.

I’m proud to lead a family-run service that’s CQC-ready every day: regular spot checks, supervisions, data protection taken seriously, and policies that actually live in practice. The standard is simple—care I’d be happy for my own family to receive.

If you’re weighing up care at home and want a manager who is visible, accountable and plain-speaking, I’m here to help you make a confident decision.

My job is to make sure our service is safe, reliable and exactly what we’ve promised — every visit, every time. As a family-run provider serving Worthing, Goring-by-Sea, Littlehampton, Steyning, Storrington and nearby villages, I focus on the things that give families confidence: strong governance, safer recruitment, clear communication and zero drama.
