Job Summary

Help Us Build an Outstanding Care Team

At Aurora Community Care, we believe outstanding care starts with outstanding people.

We are looking for a friendly, proactive and people-focused Recruitment & Community Engagement Coordinator to help us attract, recruit and retain the right people for our growing care team.

This role is about far more than filling vacancies; it is about finding kind, reliable and compassionate individuals who genuinely share our values and want to make a difference in their local community.

We are a growing business where every day brings something different. This is not a role where you sit behind a desk doing the same thing every day. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, likes being involved and is happy to roll their sleeves up to support the wider team when needed.

In return, you will have the opportunity to genuinely influence the growth, culture and success of the business while being part of a supportive and ambitious team.

You will manage the full recruitment journey, from attraction and selection through to onboarding and early retention support, ensuring every candidate receives a warm, professional and engaging experience.

Working closely with the management team, you will help shape our recruitment strategy, strengthen our local presence and support the continued growth of the business, while ensuring all recruitment activity is carried out in line with employment legislation, safer recruitment practices and CQC regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of recruitment activity, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, safer recruitment requirements and CQC regulatory standards.

  • Create a positive and engaging candidate experience, helping applicants feel welcomed, informed and valued from their very first interaction with us.

  • Develop and deliver creative recruitment campaigns across online platforms and within the local community.

  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, local networking, community groups and other recruitment channels.

  • Build and maintain strong local relationships and community networks to support ongoing recruitment activity.

  • Develop our social media recruitment presence by creating engaging and authentic content that reflects our values, culture and the rewarding nature of care work.

  • Research, organise and attend local recruitment events, job fairs, exhibitions and community initiatives to promote Aurora Community Care.

  • Support candidate selection activities, including screening calls, interviews, reference checks and pre-employment compliance.

  • Work towards agreed recruitment targets while maintaining high standards and focusing on quality over quantity.

  • Support staff retention by helping new recruits settle into the team and feel part of our supportive culture from day one.

  • Work closely with the care management team to understand staffing requirements and respond quickly to changing operational needs.

  • Participate in the on-call rota as required to support the smooth running of the service outside normal office hours.

  • Support with care visits when required, including assisting during busy periods, emergencies, sickness or unexpected staffing gaps.

  • Carry out any other duties reasonably required to support the successful operation and growth of the business.

About You

You will be approachable, organised and confident in communicating with people from all walks of life. You will understand the importance of finding caring, dependable individuals who are well-suited to working in home care.

You will also be someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is happy to get involved when needed. In a growing business, teamwork matters, and everyone plays a part in supporting each other and delivering the highest standards of care and service.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous recruitment, resourcing or people-focused experience

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Good organisation and attention to detail

  • Confidence using social media and online recruitment platforms

  • A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach

  • A genuine passion for people and community-based care

Why Join Aurora Community Care?

  • Be part of a supportive, family-run business with strong values

  • Opportunity to help shape and grow a developing care service

  • Varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same

  • Make a real difference in your local community

  • Supportive management team that values ideas and initiative

  • Genuine opportunity for personal development and progression

  • Be part of building a positive, caring and ambitious workplace culture

Additional Information

  • Some evening and weekend work may occasionally be required

  • Participation in the on-call rota will be expected

  • A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous due to the community nature of the role

If you are someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a varied environment and wants to help build something meaningful within your local community, we would love to hear from you.
