Job Summary

Chelmscare Ltd is a well-established and respected home care provider delivering high-quality domiciliary care services across Hertfordshire. With over 10 years of experience in the sector, we are committed to providing exceptional, person-centred care that enhances the well-being, independence, and dignity of our Service Users within their own homes.

At Chelmscare, we believe that outstanding care starts with outstanding people. We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, reliable, and tailored support to individuals with a wide range of needs, whilst fostering a positive, supportive, and rewarding working environment for our staff.

Due to continued growth, we are now seeking caring, reliable, and compassionate Live-In Care Assistants to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a genuine difference to people’s lives by delivering high-quality one-to-one care and support within the comfort of a Service User’s own home.

As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will reside within the Service User’s home during your placement and provide personalised support tailored to their individual needs, preferences, routines, and wishes. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, safety, companionship, and emotional well-being.

You will ensure that the care provided empowers Service Users and enables them to remain safely and comfortably within their own homes for as long as possible. You will also work closely with Service Users, their families, friends, and healthcare professionals to promote a positive and supportive environment.

The ability to work in an empathetic, patient, and holistic manner to maintain orientation, independence, dignity, and emotional well-being is essential. We are looking for individuals who are flexible, dependable, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional standards of care.

You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role, including, but not limited to:

  • Providing personal care and continence support;
  • Assisting with medication administration and monitoring;
  • Supporting with mobility and transfers;
  • Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration;
  • Undertaking domestic and housekeeping duties;
  • Providing companionship and emotional support;
  • Supporting Service Users to attend appointments, social activities, and community engagements;
  • Promoting independence, choice, and person-centred outcomes.

We value the personal skills, experience, and interests that you bring to the role and to the lives of the people we support. This may include interests or experience in areas such as cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, music, exercise, or social engagement activities.

Previous experience supporting elderly individuals and/or individuals with complex needs within a domiciliary care, live-in care, or residential care setting is essential. Your approach must be warm, respectful, compassionate, and person-centred at all times.

At Chelmscare Ltd, we are committed to supporting your continuous professional development. You will have access to ongoing training, supervision, and career development opportunities to help you grow within your role and progress within the organisation.

If you are looking to join a professional, values-driven organisation where you can genuinely make a positive impact every day, we would love to hear from you.
