About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for our Care at Home services across Edinburgh and Falkirk. You will ensure the service consistently delivers safe, effective, compassionate, and person-centred care in line with:

  • Care Inspectorate standards
  • Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) requirements
  • Health & Social Care Standards
  • Adult Support & Protection legislation
  • Scottish employment and care regulations

You will lead and support office staff, care coordinators, senior carers, and support workers while promoting a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This role requires a confident leader who can effectively manage compliance, staffing, service delivery, audits, safeguarding, recruitment, rota oversight, and stakeholder relationships.

  • Maintaining strong Care Inspectorate grades and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the Care at Home service across Edinburgh and Falkirk.
  • Ensure full compliance with Care Inspectorate standards, SSSC requirements, and company policies.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management, audits, and quality assurance systems.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, supervision, appraisals, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Maintain safe staffing levels and effective rota management.
  • Lead safeguarding investigations, complaints management, and incident reporting.
  • Build positive relationships with social workers, district nurses, families, and local authorities.
  • Support service growth, new care package mobilisation, and operational planning
  • Monitor service performance, KPIs, staffing costs, and care delivery standards.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that values teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time role
  • Monday to Friday
  • Participation in the on-call management rota as and when required covering staff holidays
  • Flexibility is required to support the service's operational needs.
