We are currently looking for a highly organised and compassionate Care Co-ordinator to join our Cambridge team. The Role
As a Care Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of domiciliary care services. You will be responsible for coordinating care schedules, supporting care staff, liaising with clients and families, and ensuring care visits are delivered safely and effectively.
This role also includes participation in an on-call rota, supporting the service outside of office hours and ensuring continuity of care during emergencies or unexpected situations.
Key ResponsibilitiesCare Co-ordination
- Create, manage, and maintain staff rotas and client care schedules
- Ensure all care visits are allocated appropriately and delivered in line with client needs
- Assist with client assessments and the development of person-centred care plans
- Monitor and review care packages to ensure high standards of care are maintained
- Support and communicate effectively with care staff throughout their shifts
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with company policies and CQC standards
Staff Support
- Support carers with day-to-day queries and operational issues
- Assist with staff inductions, training coordination, and ongoing support
- Help maintain staff morale and promote a positive team culture
- Monitor punctuality, attendance, and performance concerns where required
On-Call Responsibilities
- Participate in the on-call rota covering evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Respond to emergencies, staffing shortages, and urgent client issues outside office hours
- Resolve problems quickly and effectively to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and care staff during on-call periods
- Ensure all incidents and concerns are reported appropriately
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in care, healthcare, scheduling, or a similar role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and care management systems
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Experience within domiciliary care
- Understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and care planning
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
