Job Summary
The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager in the efficient and effective operations of the business, ensuring the delivery of high quality care to clients. They assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business, provide leadership to the staff team, and deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager, and contribute to the overall success of the service.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:

Collaborate with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business.

Assist in allocating resources, monitoring performance, and maintaining service quality within established budgets.

Support the recruitment, induction and training processes for the office team, carers and support staff.

Provide guidance and supervision to staff members, ensuring clarity regarding their roles and responsibilities.

Assist in ensuring the safe delivery of services in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures.

Contribute to the implementation of quality management and improvement systems.

Work alongside the Registered Manager to assess client needs, associated risks, and goals for care and support.

Assist when required in the creation of individually tailored care and support plans, promoting dignity, privacy and independence.

Foster positive communication with clients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.

Collaborate with the Registered Manager to address concerns, respond to feedback and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Support in managing emergency on-call issues, ensuring continuity of service in situations like staff absences or sickness.

Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, taking on their responsibilities and ensuring the smooth operation of the service.

Contribute to maintaining accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.

Collaborate with the Registered Manager to facilitate ongoing training and development for the staff team, staying informed about best practices and industry developments.

Represent the business positively in external meetings, working to enhance the reputation and credibility of the business.

Actively participate in identifying opportunities for growth and development of the service, working closely with the Registered Manager and franchisee.
