Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in home care and be committed to delivering empathetic support tailored to each individual’s needs.

This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively. You will be assisting with personal care, meal provision, medication, shopping, domestic duties, safeguarding, companionship, and taking people out to their local communities.

Due to the expectation of having to work for an hour or few hours each time more than once in a day, it is ideal that you have your own transport.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes to the registered manager.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the client's home environment.
  • Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programmes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their family and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times
  • Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when needed
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required. ?

Qualifications

  • Previous experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence for transportation duties.
  • A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of the clients that you care for.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
