Job Summary

Develop and supervise a team of care workers to provide high quality care that is safe, effective, and responsive to each customers needs and preferences. Support each client to to live their life the way that they choose as far as they are able. Respect clients and always promote their dignity and privacy.

A percentage of the working time within the Team Leader role will be committed to providing hands on care in order to meet the personal care needs of Service Users in a way that promotes dignity, respect and independance.

Take part in our out of hour's emergency on call rota. Effectively deal with emergency oncall issues, for example covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent. Record emergency calls and escalate the information/incidents to the appropriate service.

Duties to include:

Working occasional evenings and alternate weekends, take part in oncall rota, to schedule and complete assesments for new care packages, to schedule and complete reviews for existing care packages, to schedule and complete comprehensive environmental and moving and handling risk assesments, to support and manage care staff through competencies, supervison, field reporting and spot checks, To ensure staff monitoring and compliance, to schedule and complete quarterly staff meetings, to liase with social services, GPs, district nurses, family members and other agencies involved in supporting service users, to be responsible for updating service users medication information, to have sound knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the CQC, to comply with any requirements from Local Authority business partners for Helping Hands All Care to be compliant with any electronic time management system.
