Job Summary
We are recruiting a flexible, experienced female Complex Care Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting a young adult woman with complex neurological needs in her own home. You will be required to cover both day and night shifts, including weekends, as part of a small and committed care team.
This is a one-to-one role delivering 12-hour shifts. It is not a passive or routine care position. We need someone who is clinically confident, genuinely person-centred, and committed to supporting their client's independence, dignity, and quality of life — whether that is during a busy day or through the night.
If you are someone who takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality complex care and can commit to both day and night availability, we would love to hear from you.
Duties
- Deliver person-centred complex care in line with the client's individual care plan and MDT guidance across both day and night shifts
- Support safe transfers, repositioning, and mobility using equipment including a stand aid — consistent adherence to guidance is essential at all times
- Monitor the client's health, seizure activity, and general wellbeing throughout every shift; escalate any concerns promptly to the supervising nurse or branch team
- Provide continence support with dignity, respect, and care
- Support the client with all aspects of daily living including personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and community access during day shifts
- Actively support the client to move, reposition, and access comfort as she is able — she must not be left bedbound or restricted unnecessarily during any shift
- Respect the client's personal preferences, routines, and choices at all times in line with person-centred care principles
- Complete all care records, daily notes, body maps, and MAR charts accurately and promptly
- Communicate professionally and clearly with the client's family, clinical case manager, and wider care team
- Attend all mandatory training and specialist competency sessions and apply learning consistently on every shift
- Adhere to all company policies including safeguarding, infection control, health and safety, and data protection
