This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a caring, passionate and motivated individual to join Bronte House, a growing homecare provider in York with exciting plans for the future.
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Registered Manager who shares our commitment to delivering exceptional, relationship-led care and who is ready to take on a key leadership role within our organisation on a full-time basis.
This is more than a traditional Registered Manager role. We're looking for someone who can lead with warmth and confidence, inspire and support a fantastic team, drive quality and innovation, and help shape the next chapter of Bronte House.

Supporting a growing team of care professionals and clients across York and surrounding areas, this role offers autonomy, responsibility and the opportunity to help shape the future of Bronte House.
Support Structure
You will work closely with a supportive Founder/Director and wider team who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and creating an environment where people can flourish.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, inspire and support the team to deliver exceptional care
- Create and maintain a positive, values-led culture
- Recruit, develop and retain outstanding team members
- Conduct supervisions, appraisals and team meetings
- Champion staff wellbeing and development
- Support colleagues to flourish and reach their potential
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain CQC registration and regulatory compliance
- Lead audits, quality assurance and governance systems
- Take ownership of care quality, documentation and compliance processes, proactively identifying gaps, driving actions and ensuring care plans, assessments and records remain accurate, complete and inspection-ready
- Maintain oversight of documentation systems and ensure high standards of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail across the service
- Ensure care plans and risk assessments remain person-centred and up to date
- Oversee safeguarding, incidents and complaints management
- Drive continuous quality improvement across the service
Operations
- Oversee day-to-day service delivery and performance
- Support care coordination and continuity of care
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and professionals
- Ensure systems and processes operate efficiently and effectively
- Participate in a shared out-of-hours on-call rota
Growth & Innovation
- Support ongoing growth and development of the service
- Bring fresh ideas and seek opportunities for continuous improvement
- Contribute towards Bronte House’s long-term vision and goals

About You
Essential
- Previous Registered Manager experience (within domiciliary care is preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
- Proven track record of maintaining Good or Outstanding ratings
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete)
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Confident using digital systems and technology with the ability to quickly learn and embrace new platforms and ways of working
- Strong digital literacy and experience using electronic care planning, rostering and compliance systems
- Able to work proactively, identify priorities and take ownership without requiring close supervision
- Demonstrates initiative and a solutions-focused approach, taking ownership, bringing ideas and actions to drive improvement rather than waiting for direction
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage challenges calmly and professionally
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Desirable
- Experience supporting older people and individuals living with dementia
- Experience within relationship-led or specialist dementia services
- Experience supporting service growth and development
- Knowledge of digital care systems
