Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes in Reading & surrounding areas. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
• Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and comfort
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition
• Support clients with medication reminders and administration where appropriate
• Engage in meaningful conversation and social activities to enhance emotional well-being
• Assist with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe environment

Skills

• Previous experience working within home care is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and following digital care plans
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism when engaging with clients and team members
• Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation of clients
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
