Mountbatton Care is looking for compassionate, resilient and committed Support Workers to join our dedicated team supporting an individual with complex needs, autism and behaviours of concern within their own home and the local community.
This is more than a care role – it's about building trust, promoting independence, reducing anxiety through consistent support, and helping someone achieve their goals and enjoy life.
About the Role
You'll work as part of a small, consistent team delivering person-centred support tailored to the individual's needs. Using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches, you'll help promote independence, wellbeing and meaningful community engagement while ensuring the person feels safe, respected and valued.
Every day is different and may include:
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Encouraging independence and daily living skills
- Supporting access to the community and activities
- Promoting positive communication and emotional wellbeing
- Following Positive Behaviour Support plans
- Recognising and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern
- Maintaining accurate care notes and reporting changes
- Working closely with families and healthcare professionals
- Supporting with medication (following full training)
